Arkenstone keeps turning on with bike off

Yes. I fought it for days trying every trick. The bastard would randomly light up and stay on overheating at full brightness and draining the battery. It's not related to wireless charging. Even unclamping it from the dock and slightly raising didn't help. I decided it's some bug in the app...

Both Tubes Patched On A New EX

See the installation video. Advantage over Tubliss is that there are no rimlocks. Here's one more system that people seem to like: https://www.hed-shop.com/en/nomousse-pro-tiresystem-enduro-18x215.html Then there is this silliness: [900$]

    New VARG Software Update.

You've just earned what Turks call mustuluk. A small gift for the bearer of good news. What you describe above is for me the only weak point of the Varg EX. I had a couple of really bad instances that made me I worry Varg will be dangerous to take on some difficult climbs where stopping is not...

Both Tubes Patched On A New EX

There are quite a few choices for weird and interesting tire systems on the market. I'm tempted by this one but the price is very northen. https://www.tlockconcept.com/products/t-lock-startkit-16-tum?variant=50439762510165

    General Suspension on the EX

Thanks. I can get 38/112mm sag, but it took a lot of preload. I'm now sourcing the correct springs and hopefully that will help. I got shafted by the dealer on more than just this issue. I already had to swallow 1000eur of extra cost due to uncooperation. He's in a different country and 500km...

    New VARG Software Update.

I agree with this, but in my experience engaging the 'crawl' inside that half a second before the bike starts to roll back downhill takes too much time. I suppose with practice one could learn to anticipate the moment and hopefully this new update refined it a bit. It's been mentioned before...

    New VARG Software Update.

I think I read here that crawl/reverse was developed by a different company and gifted to Stark. Not sure who is developing it now. I only use the crawl to load the bike in the van when it's on an incline and I'm too tired to push. It is not practical as a low-gear and I look forward to try...

    New VARG Software Update.

Good to know, thanks. No update for my bike right now. I use it 2x1.5h per week an average.

    New VARG Software Update.

What is the point of trickling out a software update? It's not like they will run out of bandwidth. It only complicates the process for no advantage, from my view. Note this about 4G. If you have the phone connected to your house WiFi that may be used first.

    General Suspension on the EX

What brand of springs did you use? I wish I didn't read this. Due to dealer error my EX came with 'Soft' springs. I hoped I could use it as all I ride is hardpack terrain at low-ish speed, but it's now certain no. I weigh ±72kg + 12kg of gear ≅ 85kg. I asked Stark specifically about this and...

Hero displayed a couple of electric bikes at EICMA. I can't find any details right now.

    Yamaha YE-01

At this rate of development all the Yam/Hon/Kaw/Suz fanboys will die of natural causes before the bikes are delivered. Cultivating a new cohort of customers willing to pay premium prices for BNG-raphics will be hard.

    Yamaha YE-01

They likely have an in-house prototype, but this isn't it. The bike in these pictures, and the one mounted far and high on the wall at EICMA may as well be made of paper mâché. I'm sorry to be so sceptical, but even if that wrist-watch battery is real, this bike is 95% YZ from 30 years ago...

    General Suspension on the EX

Could you please check the marking on the shock? It's engraved at the bottom where it attaches to the clevis knuckle. Your description matches my experience: shock feels either dead or it kicks and loses traction, clickers do nothing.

    Stark Varg SM

As of recent Aliexpress is full of SM wheels for the Varg in the 500-800$ range. No clue of the value or quality.

Media Review Varg EX [assorted reviews and random videos]

Interview with the Federico Fantini. CEO of Stark Future Italia [in Italian, auto translate is ok] I'm listening bit by bit when I find time, will post if anything interesting is mentioned. Edit: It's the usual corporate spiel. Nothing technical or any insider perspective.
