    @schwankl as I said I can use on all bikes which have the harness already installed. I did use the KTM light mask which Baja does have pinned differently. (Also this does remove the Alta specfic lighting bracket, with Bajas specific setup, which is common on most dual sport setups)

    This will work on all bikes, SMs will work easier as they have the lighting harness. You need to remove the SM lighting brackets to fit the Baja Light

    @C5tor it will not. The motor timing process is part of the Inverter FW update IF the vehicle has never been updated from factory (MXRs were timed by this process so it may not need this). The reason why I brought up specifically the DCCP is to make sure there's no issues in the charging system.

    @schwankl Anything MX 1.5 and higher will have the support for R charger. 1.5.1 is on the forum so that should suffice. I just pulled specifically the DCCP .bin file so you can target only the DCCP when programming the bike. (Loader tab, select target)

    You dont need the timing cover gasket (unless the previous owner broke it). The gear cover gasket I do have. Or you can get gasket material.

    So the Elcon should work from the configuration of the voltage HK-J-H440-20 would be the correct one for the Alta pack. Specifically...the DCCP might not like the signal from the 6.6 since it was configured for the 3.3kw.

    Unfortunately, they cannot be used since it requires firmware modification. But if the "bypass" works, in technical terms a way to make a new display is possible, but with the messages that already exist on the CAN bus.

    Hmmm seems to be broken record forsure. In MFG we used torque wrenches. Beyond that you can use any tightening device. If you "snug" the plastics that should not lead to over torqueing.     The only time I personally have had a insert spin in on me is....over torque. Ham fisting the dang fastener into the plastic. Luckily plastic pieces are available..which means replacements isnt end of the world.
