Could you please check the marking on the shock? It's engraved at the bottom where it attaches to the clevis knuckle. Your description matches my experience: shock feels either dead or it kicks and loses traction, clickers do nothing.

As of recent Aliexpress is full of SM wheels for the Varg in the 500-800$ range. No clue of the value or quality.
