    Stark Future next models

I think that Stark's competition that they're revering to is KTM. Stark has the same kind of shouty "fast 'n loud" approach as KTM and attract kind of the same people. Also KTM is pretty much the leader where it comes to performance. So those are the guys to challenge and rever to.

We actually come from ADV riding. We went from the Netherlands to Morocco over the TET on our KTM 990 ADV and Versys 300. With the KTM 990 the range anxiety is real although it has a 19,5L fuel tank. But opposite to an E the range actually gets worse when traveling slowly off-road. That's why...

Solar panels are hardly usable to charge your phone during a break. However as it has a fast DC charger AND at least a 12kW AC you could charge anywhere in Western Europe pretty fast. An household outlet/adapter is also needed for those slow pace charging anywhere. If you look up a map of...

He said 50% more power. Didn't really hear him talking about the competition regaridng power so could be comparing to the Varg? 120hp would sound like a good target for an ADV and wouldn't add that much weight. Their drivetrain is pretty beavy as is. The cogs in the gearing are as beavy as in a...

@Beagle The Tenere is a 700 so doesn't really count as well then ;) The "800" class is often describing the 700-900. That does incluide some pricy bikes like the 890R wich was a huge sales succes (they still managed to overproduce but still). DesertX, 900GS, Tiger 800/900 etc etc. 18K is...

Take a look at the Energica Experia for reverence. That has much longer range than 3x the Varg with just 3x the battery. It's clise to say a Tenere in range, i would say 2/3 of range. That has gearing set for higher speeds etc etc.

    EX street tire question

I've had a 110-80-19 on tarmac and you'd be amazed by the grip you get even on 80 hp.

Now you're talking the cheap baseline while a Stark Varg (wich you use as a baseline for price) has a way higher speced suspension etc. So either they can go with much lower specs OR compare to higher specs/priced bikes like the 890R and Desert X wich are in the 18K range. That should add plenty...

    EX street tire question

140 is indeed Enduro standard. However not all 140 are equal. 140 Enduro tyres are made for 2.15 rims. 140 "street/allroad/Adventure" often for 3.50-4.00 making them a less proper fit on the 2.15 Stark. A 110 to 130 will be a better fit.

    EX street tire question

Wat too wide. Those 150's are always made for 4.00 rims so the will pretty much fold by how round they will pull. 140 are often made for 3.00 rims. 140 Enduro tyres are often just 120 but with 20 of knobs.

I just saw a EX yesterday (from Germany) and it didn't have to pointy footpegs (points were flattend). I think because that won't be street legal.

    EX street tire question

You can't rum them tubeless on the OEM wheels. 150 is way too wide. Will do very funny things to the rounding of the tyre. I would go for 120/130 wide although i have fitted some 110's on there.

4 piston brake caliper i see there. I don't think they need rubber inserts in the footpegs. They are to absorb vibrantions, wich arn't there to begin with.

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

So 72 and 60 hp. That should be adequate. Since that power comes at quite high speeds they could opt to use the 80hp curve but just flattened at the end. However i don't think they need that power anyways.

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

2 questions jump to mind. - Why? - Why not? I am willing to believe it can pull a 100 hp. But with experience from 80 hp we know it will overheat fast and will surge in power as well.

    Do our Vargs actually, "regen"?

In the past few weeks in enduro parks we've seen serious amounts of battery getting charged from just going down. I had a 10hp 100% regen for long steep but not technical downhills. It was not strange to see 2 or 3% after 5-10 minutes of going down. Well the amount of regen can be adjusted. In...

    Stark actually profitable... kinda

Also ease of maintenance. Any idiot can do the parts swapping stuff. Wich is much harder on the Zero's (seriously just send the guys engineering those to some gulag somewhere) and on the KTM EXC350F the military is using here. Edit: The military's are small customers. However they are paying...

Well they are far more capable than anything 2 wheeled the military has been using so far.

    Stark actually profitable... kinda

The Sovjet is a very extreme example, just like the current US example and the one at the beginning of the great depression (wich also was a katalyst to ww2 but lets not get distracted). However tarifs happen all the time by everyone and are mostly done quietly with only a few percents on very...

    Stark actually profitable... kinda

Protectionism can be good to keep your own people at work and thus the economy flowing. Tarifs are one of the tools that can work great. Tarifs are a very good precision tool to make something happen to a specific industry. However swinging it around like a machine shotgun does not often work...
