How long are we expecting the Stark battery to last (long term)

If it are of the shelf cells that sounds really doable. First bikes get out of warranty about now so we'll see. Will depend on the cost though. 3K is expensive, but not that expensive and you'll have it quick (maybe even with 2 year warranty?). Has to be a pretty good deal if they have to...

Australian Championship shows why the AMA has banned Stark. It ain’t Safety.

Indeed, it has disadvantages, but being slow is not one of them. All the semi pro's out here that tested it are faster on it than on their own bike. They also report it feel way nimbler and lighter than the 450's, especially in the sand. However it not being able to do the full length moto's in...

Powertrain failed and making horrible sounds

Yess but seizing the engine locks up the rear wheel wich is quite controleable in the straight. Especially in the sand. I also experienced a gearbox lockup on a smaller 2 stroke, bearing of primairy axle that failed tilting the axle locking up both multiple gears at once as the crank-clutch...

Powertrain failed and making horrible sounds

Somehow the faster you go the easier it is to keep a lockup straight. Happened to me with about 100km/h in the mud on my 250 2 stroke that locked up the crankshaft bearing.

Thanks, that's roughly the voltage of 2 cells and a bit of degradation that i'm missing.

Super, my 100% is around 409V just after charging. Will look again tomorrow morning.

Well that's a clear picture. Mine probably has failed cells. What is your 100% voltage?

How long are we expecting the Stark battery to last (long term)

Especially since the shape is the same. Should be quite easy to integrate. Just look at Apple. Their products work best if you keep using them alongside eachother. That's why someone who has an Iphone might also consider that MacBook he otherwise wouldn't. If there is no incentive to stick to...

How long are we expecting the Stark battery to last (long term)

Also when a battery dies outside warranty that's a shame. But having to buy an upgraded model would put "some" smile on ones face instead of just spending 3K getting what you have. Also when you're keeping your MX 1.0 and buying an EX it's a far better deal since you could bring one battery as...

How long are we expecting the Stark battery to last (long term)

Exactly. I get why the upgraded the wiring harnas, but an adapter to retrofit with a software update would be great so we could keep on riding our bikes. Also easy'er for them so they don't have to stock an outdated model for 10 years.

Could you take a look at the battery sells if they're all the same or also 2 0's?

    Can-Am Electric Motorcycles

I saw them and they're good looking bikes, good fit and finish an probably fun to ride. However i do not see the point in their existence. No real range for an ADV and too bulky for a dual sport.

How long are we expecting the Stark battery to last (long term)

Might be true. However i can't put the 7,2 in my Stark MX since the connectors etc are different.

There no longer is a 6,5kW. The 7,2 replaced it and weighs the same.

Bike is now at 81% SOC. All cells are between 3,994 and 4,001 except for those rebelious 2 wich are 0,000 total voltage is 392V wich is 98 x 5 with a total of 100 cells that does indeed imply both are dead. And BMS leads that are dead doesn't explain why i get a reading there during charging...

Poll BIG BEAUTIFUL POLL: A big fixed battery vs. a small swappable battery

It does need the VCU and Drivertrain. So it's probably the cheapest to just get an extra bike and just forget about the battery swap. Otherwise you just have 1 extra battery for the swap and you have to do it again in the evening.

Poll BIG BEAUTIFUL POLL: A big fixed battery vs. a small swappable battery

I'm not talking about the StormBee being a good or bad bike. Just a comparison to what kind of additional bulk we are talking about when the battery needs to be swappable. I can tell you the Stark battery is very heavy to work around. Sure lifting it is easy enough. But now lift it above seat...

Australian Championship shows why the AMA has banned Stark. It ain’t Safety.

In NL with our heavy sand tracks the pro's don't make it an entire race on the MX. However i spoke a few and their laptimes are better on the Stark. But a DNF (did not finish) status overrules good laptimes.

After charging the 2 cells drop to 0. The rest somewhere in the 4,... But very close to eachother. The bike is at 98% charge since it was a convenient time to stop charging (now at a campsite and had to leave the socket) but normally is will go to 100%. I will try to get a 100% voltage tonight.
