HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

I was a tad negative about MX use, but where i can see this kind of bikes shine is in Hard Enduro. Lightweight, more than powerfull enough and battery capacity doesn't really matter. I know a lott of Germans go to places like Bilstain (a rocky gnarly Hard Enduro park). I have emailed them about...

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

And DIY conversions are just that DIY, wich means building the thing. And i'm pretty sure it's more profitable to do some overtime at work than to buy a used bike and covert it with expensive E components that don't actually fit easily. Buying something like this with a year of warranty is a...

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

Agreed on the full size bike. You can buy a used Stark that's still in 1 year warranty (same as this) for that price. And the weight looks nice, but 4kWh and 41HP is only suitable for hardpack leisure MX riding. The battery being a quick swap is nice, but it being 4kWh low voltage one also means...

    EX w/ mousse

Have you used this more street miles than your other bikes? Mousses get really bloody hot on the street. We see this often with bikes used in the Dutch OTR season where there are quite some fast asphalt sections (or people ride fast anyways). A lott of us stopped using mousses long ago since...

Maximizing Range for the Stark Varg

It's sad the adjustable power curve is behind the paywall. But that could fix that issue. You could then go up in torque for those corner speeds and leave the rest the same.

Flux Performance - eMX startup from Europe

We have a saying that translates to "Where there's chopping there will be chips" with the chips being mistakes/incidents. That applies strongly to anywhere work is done, especially to where new people are doing new kinds of chopping. Being "first" is a blessing and a curse.

Converting from rivet to clip style master link?

I tried multiple chains and pretty much every 520 without Orings fit. I use the cheap 24MX variant because in all the sand the sprockets will wear down quicker than the chain anyways.

    Yamaha YE-01

What is swappable? I've seen "quick swap battery solutions" that require more bolts to be removed than the Stark. The plugin is not the issue. The 2 connectors of Stark are a few seconds work. Also disconnecting the battery is 6 bolts, also not much work. It's the issue of the battery being so...

    Yamaha YE-01

Most are only on a bike for 12-20 minutes indeed. However a fast Amature will be very far in the Stark battery in 20 minutes in the sand. Smaller also adds the issue of more heat. Having a swappable battery does increase weight and package size since structure and accecability have to come...

Flux Performance - eMX startup from Europe

I'm just wishful thinking here, might be out of reach for a couple of years. My Zero DS 9.4 is barely enough for my 2x 35km commute (admittedly the road is my racetrack but still). So a 10-12kWh would do very well there. For the OTR events the 7.2 battery is just on the edge of what is enough...

Flux Performance - eMX startup from Europe

Can you say something about on the go charging and pricepoint for the Enduro? The Stark EX has been on my shopping list to replace my Stark MX. But the 7.2 Battery is not big enough to replace my Beta 300. I doubt any E will in the first couple of years though, but that would free up some...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

Traction control is not only ''traction control'' as we know it from ICE's. It's also E's spinning up to ''infinity'' when they loose grip while ICE has a limit to any certain gear. And as @Philip says. The airtime on a Stark is increadible. I never use the rear brake in the air anymore. The...

    Yamaha YE-01

We've seen quite a lott of overheating with the Gen1 in deep sand, although it got better over updates. I do however think ALL serious adult MX bikes (not competition, but just serious MX tracks) need at least what Stark offers in their 48HP. Otherwise it's just underpowered. Stark may have...

    Yamaha YE-01

I have no doubt @DonCox bikes are good at what they do. I also have no doubt this Yamaha will ride good. But there is a big difference between good enough and world class. There is also a big difference between a purpose built bike for one purpose (SX or MX or woods riding etc etc or even for...

    Yamaha YE-01

I do ride quite a lott of bikes and mostly 2 times a week. Spend 4 hours riding today actually. Sure it does work. But non of those conversion bikes have been raced at the highest level MXGP, SX etc etc. That's where any shortcomings show big time.

    Yamaha YE-01

Just take any ICE and remove the bolts of the top mount. Even a novice can feel that. Even hitting the frame with something makes a different sound.

    Yamaha YE-01

Yamaha having a perfectly good frame will be of little help. Sure if it's just short AX or SX they can get away with a small ligt battery. But when entering MX they will need a battery at least the capacity of the Stark. That will not fit the YZ frame and if it does it will face even more weight...

    Tall Seat Available?

It's just some hard plastic thingy. Cut it out of an existing skidplate and drill a few attachment holes.

Film production company interested in renting my Varg

Good deal. Total new price of the bike up front. Everything above the 5K is deposit. No bike back then you just buy a new one :ROFLMAO:

Both Tubes Patched On A New EX

First time i hear of tireballs. However they do seem to have the same downside as mousse. No airing up/down and overheating in our Enduro riding that incluides fast asphalt sections.
