    Other Bikes Trailblaze Omega

Generally, I wouldn't say PDS is better for technical or HE riding. I own a relatively new KTM 300 2T PDS and there are both benefits and drawbacks to PDS. The benefits are ground clearance and sometimes lower seat heights and excellent stability in most riding cases. If your bike is similar in...

Bonnell 40hp and 60hp dirt bikes and e-bikes

You could maybe use regen in reverse after that mid-climb stall 😁

Bonnell 40hp and 60hp dirt bikes and e-bikes

Ya it mostly strikes me that the addition of the clutch is mostly to satisfy habit and concern rather than function on E bikes. And I have to admit, I myself thought I was sacrificing something when I got my first E bike (which was a Stark) and didn't have a clutch. The first time I rode an E...

Bonnell 40hp and 60hp dirt bikes and e-bikes

Oh I see. Most of the moto and HE riders I ride with use the clutch to modulate power.

Bonnell 40hp and 60hp dirt bikes and e-bikes

It reminds me of an old school compression release lever and my hunch is it operates with similar effect. At least it doesn't seem like something you could easily feather/modulate like an ICE clutch.

Service your linkage and swingarm bearings asap

I followed the directions in the Stark video, I had forgotten about your post. I cleaned everything pretty well and had no real problems with the reverse nut. One small issue I had servicing the suspension was accessing the pullrod nut with a socket on the torque ratchet. To get the proper...

    New VARG Software Update.

Stark must have hired some Microsoft guys to handle the "feature" of forced restart on upgrade... :ROFLMAO:

Just another ride review from a 51 yr old hack

    Whereabouts is that BTW?

My range is **** from what I'm seeing

@AL_V has an MX1 ircc. I weigh less and am probably a lot smaller than you but I don't really ride for miles. I can easily get 4+ hours on my MX1 but I am mostly always in the gnarl. Hard hills and deep greasy mud eat the battery for me. :ricky:

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

Agreed. Stark is not a great software company. Concept, proto, and initial production they are excellent and having all the right ideas is their sweet spot. I love the products but long term production can't rely on early adopters, concept/ideas, and DIYers to sustain a modern business. We...

Stark Stark varg ex won’t start??

Sorry to hear that. Maybe this thread will help: https://electricdirtriders.com/threads/brand-new-stark-varg-ex-won%E2%80%99t-start-%E2%80%94-no-led-no-charging-no-bluetooth-no-response.4270/

    Stark Varg DIY Trailside Repairs

I wish they would change the design of that button system. I have a 1.0 but it seems like a similar button system on all the models. They are not robust in the elements. My 2014 WR 450 has more robust sealing on its buttons. A well done rubber boot would be a big improvement. Some people have...

    Stark Varg DIY Trailside Repairs

A paper clip or a piece of wire or a pick can be a lifesaver if you drop your Stark in mud or soft soil. If the switches on the bars get submerged in mud or dirt the debris can cause the switch to fail and leave you stranded. Made the mistake of a "quick short ride" without a toolkit and sure...

    Stark Varg DIY Trailside Repairs

Either carry a chain breaker or add a master link to the continuous chain (I have mentioned this elsewhere). Pushing a Stark is like trying to push a gas bike in gear using the clutch. It is not easy. Even a 1/2 mile to a clearing in the gnarl can be a lot of work. Some people have suggested...

    New VARG Software Update.

Yes and they would likely see it as potentially cannibalizing future sales too. Ultimately the market is limited and inducing repeat sales is a balancing act.

    New VARG Software Update.

Did they actually ever agree to do that? I am going into my 3rd year of ownership and I have never received a proper "release notes" which is what most software houses provide. This typically contains things like new features, general changes, bugs fixed, and version compatibility.

Stark My Gen 1.0 warranty is over...or is it.

I have another year left on my current Stark. I would be out-of-warranty too but I am on my second Gen 1 since my first one got stolen. I am kind of surprised that "legal limitations" are the reason at least here in the United States. We invented extended warranties. The registers at Home Depot...

Stark My Gen 1.0 warranty is over...or is it.

Not sure but according to Sam the AI agent at Stark the extended warranty is not available in the US. Prompt: Does Stark still offer extended warranties? "Yes, Stark Future still offers an Extended Warranty in eligible countries, but it is currently not available in the United States (and...
