AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Le Trèfle Lozérien is one of the most famous France enduro races. https://www.instagram.com/p/DK7mE78MNAM/?igsh=MXh3ZjBzbXhvNGI1aw== So technically it's doable but it would be a far more popular option for regular folks if it had easily swappable batteries and the ability to charge a battery...

    Stark range video(s)

Shane has been releasing vids of all his GNCC races, starting the championship on the MX later switching to the EX, lots of infos about range and everything In France it's raced in Enduro championship, cross country championship, as well as the MX in SX and MX championships. See this thread...

Stark varg support is the worst

I would not like to pretend I know anything about this. From my armchair perspective, providing your dealers with some troubleshooting guidance, access to diagnosis tools and explanations of errors codes, procedures to follow to solve or rule out issues would gain time for everyone. Simple cases...

Stark varg support is the worst

That's fair but all the more reason to train their dealers. They've been selling bikes for 2 years, now would be as good a time as any.

    Stark Varg EX range

They were quite happy to show they were using Molicel (and putting Molicel stickers on race bikes), not sure why they keep it secret this time around.

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

He actually says so, he's not riding to optimize range, he just rides as he likes. In the Mason Dixon vid we can see another Varg rider and Shane does say that he can see that this guy is a very good rider that is riding to optimize range. This guy ended up 1st in Open E, 2 min ahead of Shane...

    Stark Varg EX range

2018 Alta battery 5.8 kWh 2022 Stark Varg prototype 6.0 kWh 2023 Starg Varg production bike 6.5 kWh 2025 Starg Varg EX 7.2 kWh All that for 32 kg battery packs. So from the latest Alta to the latest Stark that's 24% increased energy density in 7 years, or from Stark 2022 prototype to the EX...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

New GNCC vid from Shane Pinney He made it the full 2h (well 2h20min) with 1% battery left thanks to 2 quick recharge breaks (total about 25 min to put 25% back). In really muddy terrain as you can see.

Stark bricking some used bikes reported as stolen

There are stories doing the rounds, Shane does a good summary of it. Here's the short version: if you buy a used bike you should always be careful, check paperwork, ownership and so on, to not find yourself with a stolen bike. The added flavour here is that Stark can remotely brick bikes...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Stark files are nice vids, this one is about the "other" co-founder and about Yannis Irsuti tackling whoops, possibly the worst part of a track where electrics are at a disadvantage.

Stark varg support is the worst

One problem they're facing with scaling up so fast is the lack of training for their 400+ dealers. And of course scaling up online support. Even more so when you're past early adopters and start tapping into more casual riders. Growing pain (for everyone involved!).

Crashed bike and need help getting it out

Mate you've been posting all over this supposedly "123 kg FIM minimum weight", just so you know it has only been introduced specifically for FIM Superenduro as a preemptive penalty to limit the Varg supposed technical advantage over ICE. Initially they were also limited to 48 hp and there were...

Stark's/ Adult electric bikes banned from UK enduro events

Safety is important but it's very naive to think this could have anything to do with the Varg design or safety when you say the ban applies to all electric motorcycles. What safety features are they exactly asking for then? Which orgs could be more demanding than the FIM? Stark has actively...

So... What Exactly Happened to ALTA Dirt Bikes? (Parts 1 and 2)

Sweet and sour... love the vids and learning so much about what happened, the role the forum has played, Marc's testimony, postmortem analysis... Here's hoping you get on more solid ground with Flux. It would be kinda "full circle" cool if Stark, owning so much to Alta for the inspiration and...

Electric motocross survey: questions for Stark Varg riders

Much to my surprise they've said in their latest video that the US were not their major market (although it's the main dirtbike market). I can see at least 2 factors in this, EV acceptance is higher in Europe and stealth rides are even more appreciated (population density, regulations and so on).

Electric motocross survey: questions for Stark Varg riders

KTM has been the largest European motorcycle manufacturer for years. 1000 bikes per month is both nothing... and a lot! It's nothing compared to total sales of OEMs with a range of 50-80 different models. It's record beating if compared to other manufacturers of electric motorcycles. It's...

Electric motocross survey: questions for Stark Varg riders

About big players catching up I like to point out what happened in the car industry (which is by far more important for Honda than motorcycles), Honda and so-called "legacy OEM" are still playing catch up to Tesla (and now BYD) in sales and technology after 10 years so Stark could definitely...
