Some Stark Farkles with Steering Damper

I have to admit, I'm not sure the SV needs a steering damper. I've definitely felt the need for a steering damper on my KTM's (300, 450, 500), but the SV just feels rock solid. Once there is a good option for mounting the Scotts damper, I may do it because of safety, but I have not had any...

    BEST Replacement Side Stand KIT?

I just bought this one and received it yesterday. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks nice: (see below). I did the screw mod and it keeps on falling out even though I used loctite. I'm puzzled why it keeps on falling out...

    No difference between riding maps

I did notice that when I changed each map, you need to "save" each map after making a change. If I didn't, it would revert to the previous map. Seems obvious of course, but it did cause confusion for me when I edited my maps and there were no changes saved.

    Flexx Bars on SV MX

If you only want to mount the SV phone, then only use the Flexx Bar GPS mount template to modify the Flexx Bar GPS mount. Print the pdf 1:1, cut out the template, and tape it onto the Flexx Bar GPS mount to drill mounting holes for the SV phone cradle and slot for SV phoe cradle cable routing...

    Flexx Bars on SV MX

In order for the SV phone charger cable to reach to the new position on the flexx bar dash mount, the cable needs to be pulled a bit to reach. Cut the zip tie, pull the cable up, and zip tie again.

    Flexx Bars on SV MX

I mounted Flexx Bars on my SV MX. For fun, I added a GPS mount and light bar. Below are the parts I needed to make it work. There is some fabrication to mount the SV phone cradle on the Flexx Bars, and mount bonus the Montana GPS and light bar to the Flexx Bar GPS mount . Attached are...

Stock varg suspension revalve?! Enduro & Trail riding

It’s an MX bike, so the suspension is too stiff for my use. I rarely jump anything bigger than a water bar. I backed off the clickers most of the way and it was better. It needed a revalve to handle trail chop. Now it’s way better and I have more range in the clickers to play with. Spring...

    Replacement handlebar?

I’m in the process of mounting flexx bars on my SV. Flexx said the 12 degree motocross standard bar best matches the stock bar. I’m also mounting the phone, gps, and led bar light on the flexx bar. I’ll post pics when I’m done. I think it can be done using the flexx bar gps mount and light...

Stock varg suspension revalve?! Enduro & Trail riding

I had my suspension done by Weston from Rocco Racing in Santa Cruz. He's been great to work with. Below is my experience: Just got the second ride on the Varg after the Rocco Racing re-valve. It’s flippen awesome! I don’t think I ever ridden Hollister that fast with control. I asked Weston...

    Varg suspension

I just got my SV MX revalved for trail riding. I told the tuner (Rocco Racing) I wanted it plush but with good holdup. I ride mostly flowy single track with a lot of braking and acceleration bumps. Stock, the suspension with the clickers backed all the way out was tolerable. It was great in...

    Varg Red Tube

I also like setting up 3 or more tire levers at a time. Really helps both taking off and putting on tires. Also keeps from scratching the rims as you aren’t trying to shove in a tire lever to lever off the tire like you would be if you only had one tire lever. Jays videos are super helpful...

    Varg Red Tube

I just installed ultra heavy duty rear tube in my 18" rear tire. The trick is to insert the rim on both sides of the tire (similar to doing tubliss install). That allows a lot of room to install the tube between the rim and the tire. As you install the tube, bounce the wheel on the ground to...

    VCU Internals (Gen1)

Wow, that is good to know. I've been doing a complete shut down to store the bike because of battery drawing. I'll now store it in standby mode with the battery between 30% and 50%.
