The Vextrek prototype lithium ion pack for dirt bikes is almost ready! Our goal was to “GO BIG” on everything. This is a 72V 50aHr (20S/12P) pack of Molicel P42 cells connected with .25mm thick copper. Since cooper is 4x more conductive than nickel, this pack can easily handle high current. As seen in the pics, the series connection between the top and bottom module is a “wall of copper” which minimizes resistance. The Vextrek pack will have a 500A ANT BMS, active balancer, Anderson connector with 2 gauge cables for discharge and an XT90 connector with 8 AWG wires for charging.

The final product will have epoxy fiberglass insulation and rubbber padding around the entire pack. We still need to add the PVC shrink wrap and we will post pics of the final product soon. Our goal is to publish performance test data by January 15 and to make the pack available for purchase by USA buyers on our Facebook page and website by February 1, 2023.

Pricing information coming soon.

What is going to be the dimensions of this battery. I need approx. 8' x 8" x 12" With connectors at the rear, like Bob Casper mentioned in one of your links on this site. Here is a sketch.

Here are the connectors that I use. They have a screw on each side. This is a only 2 but there are usually 5 or 6 side by side. I use every other one. Here are the ones on Aliexpress. I haven't used these yet. But I think 2 of these for B+ and B- and a smaller one black for the Charge line. C-

These ones on Aliexpress have a 8 mm lug which should handle a lot more than the rated 200A. These would be soldered on the inside.

excellent. Can definitely use that. I can see how it would make the connections much easier. Thank you.
