Has anyone figured out a good place to the plate to mount to the bike and not get torn off in the first UPD or loop out? I'm in the USA so our plates are much smaller than say the UK.
I'm leaning on bending it to fit the rear fender lengthways and mount it there.

I wanted my plate to also act as a mud guard. I did the same thing on my KTM Freeride, the stock rear mud guard didn't offer enough protection, and I ended up with mud all over my back and in my hair. I used 2 layers of ABS plastic with the stock plate bracket sandwiched in there. It should be strong enough to take a fall or a branch when off roading. I did something similar on my DRZ400 but found you needed a lot of reinforcement to counter the engine vibration. I assume that won't be a problem here. Hopefully?1748491287117.png

Just got a ticket last week by a local DNR constable, trail side, for not having the plate oriented correctly…just saying you may have like minded powleece in your neighborhood...

I used this on my 500 and will be transferring it over to EX, it’s not the cheapest option, but it works well and I have no interest in getting sliced open from a rigid mounted plate.
