Delta/Bat wing stripped insert repair

Brass insert stripped when trying to remove the shrouds. Plan was to remove insert and replace with a crimp nut. After looking around, I found that I had some hex drive head nuts and decided to go that route instead.
The hex drive head nuts screw in clockwise, so if the bolt ever gets stuck again, everything should just spin out counterclockwise
Maybe others have a better idea on repair to the delta/bat wing brass inserts?

Thats one way to fix it forsure (probably a tad more sturdier). This is why I have spares of these.

I just push in an automotive plastic plug - that connection point snaps in to the point a bolt probably isn’t necessary
