So I'm at 70 hours with my EX and thought I'd preempt the 80 hour service and speak with Stark.
I emailed them and suggested one of the following:
1. Can Stark do it themselves at the factory? My thinking was, I'm 30 minutes away, and it would be free data for their engineers to look over an actual customer bike.
2. I'm happy to do it myself, but wanted confirmation that they would not void my warranty.
They responded that they had no interest in looking at my bike (fair enough) and stated that I could not do it myself, warranty voided if I do. Ok. Then sent me some links to find a dealer which turned out to be dead links...
At this point I gave up with them. So had a look myself, unfortunately no one is exactly local. It is what it is.
Then I got some chaser emails from them asking for more info?
Pointed out that they sent some dead links and a very "Look for yourself" tone so saw no need to go back to them.
They've now asked that I send my bike back to the dealer I ordered from. He's in Madrid and I'm in Barcelona (6 hour drive one way).
I feel like I'm losing my mind every time I speak to Stark...
What have others done when it comes to servicing when there is no local dealership? Suck it up and get it there? Void the warranty?
