EX Custom iOS/Android App

I have the SVAG app on another Android phone as well, not the Arkenstone. But this was the point firsthand to not use the Arkenstone anymore!

Michael
What firmware are you on the bike? I'd really like to use my other phone instead of the Arkenstone but it stopped working after 1.8.0 firmware.

I use s25 1.7.1 and 1.8.0 work fine mx 1.0

How do you connect the Svag app on FW 1.8?
I tried everything with the S25 phone but all I get is this:

I tried 'forgetting' the connection in phone's Bluetooth and then I'm prompted for the PIN, but can't get passed the screen above.
Arkenstone phone is disconnected and shutdown.

Bike auto-updated to from FW 1.6 to FW 1.8.

@brongle,
If it's anything you can do on your end it will be appreciated.
I'm monitoring the battery for some suspicious symptoms.

See problem fw bike work correctly or not? And how get tool see diagnostic?
Just drop the file in the https://claude.ai/ and tell it what is.

MX 1.0 works on two of them.
On EX, they all have the same problem; they apparently implemented encryption.

Not working on EX? damn, i was about to download it to try it out... Stark probably knows about this and the ecnrypt it
Yes, a few friends updated the firmware, and now the swag doesn't work on the EX.
I think it's because they don't want to develop a new app for mx 1.0, since the firmware there isn't encrypted.

Yea, 1.8.0 won't work on the EX/SM anymore, I'm sure the MX's will follow once the 3.x version of the app is fully rolled out. I have a working version of the app with their new connection style, it just needs tweaking for public use and the experience now requires knowing the "sold date" for your vehicle so its much less seemless (although obviously more secure). I am still not to impressed with their approach, but it is at least significantly better than the previous design.

I'm quite busy (ironically contracting with another EV manufacturer) and spring is here so what free time I do have has been spent up riding. I'm somewhat waiting for later in the year when EU regulation 2023/2854 is fully rolled out, Stark will be legally required to provide some relatively open API/BT/etc experience for anyone operating the vehicles in the EU. I did reach out to them about this (and the weird cell groups issue on the MX) but I haven't heared anything back, seems they are much less responsive when they don't need things from you :D.

I suppose in some regards this probably means Svag will be dead for the moment, perhaps for some time. Personally I've just been using the stock app as I really just use battery percentage (and swapping charging settings), it is at least reliable enough these days if you leave the phone on the bike 100% of the time.

Thank you for all your work, i would like to test your app when you are ready to work on it again
