EX, light from headlamp into my eyes

When riding enduro in the dark, I try to stand up as much as possible. When standing in "attack mode", my eyes are ahead of the headlamp. Not that I'm staring into the light, but its quite annoying having such a bright light right below.

Is there some form of "protection" available? Some small horizontal plastic thing to put above the lamp to ensure you don't get disturbed by the light?

Surely, I cannot be the only one that noticed this?

I angled my light down as much as possible, then I even ended up taping over the top half of the light. The best solution is probably some sort of polarised filter that lets the light though in front but not viewed from an angle. Like the privacy screens you get for phones and laptops.
