How did I not hear about this electric van before??!
Apparently, the MSRP was about $66K, and it used to be possible to get the $7,500 consumer EV tax credit along with an up to $40,000 incentive for buyers of commercial vehicles. Was it possible to get one for $19K??? Anyway, this ended on September 30, 2025. And now the BrightDrop is dead.
On the positive note, if you wanted a cheap electric motovan, soon there will be plenty of used ones on the market. Who wants one?
There are 400 ft^3 models and 600 ft^3 models. Some have long-range batteries. Here is the range summary for one of the BrightDrop long-range owners:
@ 46 mph - 440 miles
@ 60 mph - 330 miles
@ 68 mph - 270 miles
@ 80 mph - 190 miles
The BrightDrop features an available 240V outlet, part of the Offboard Power system, which can provide up to 7.2 kW of split-phase AC power for tools and jobsite equipment. This system also includes several 120V outlets and is designed to be used from the cargo area of the vehicle. Perfect for fast-charging two Starks/Altas or even supercharging 1 Stark at 6,600W!
You can charge it at Tesla Superchargers!!! And they even have a BrightDrop owners forum at Chevy BrightDrop Forum
