Under a heavy load (WOT, Map 4) the MXR battery works better than the MX battery. It does not overheat, and the software does not start limiting your power with ~20% of the charge still remaining. So, in this sense, the MXR has a longer range. But in all other maps and under partial throttle conditions the range should be identical.

It is possible to ride around for 2 hours, no problem. You can cover 35-40 miles at an easy pace. But, unfortunately, I do not think there is a 2-hour race out there that is slow and also easy on the battery. Perhaps a downhill race??

What would be awesome to see in the future is some sort of “economy” gauge/meter that would let you estimate how long you could go at the pace you are riding. Something you could toggle on the screen that would be big enough to see in a glance.

My electric diamondback bicycle has this feature. Not very accurate as there are lots of variables but useless nontheless to estimate how long you have until you have to pedal that 60lbs bicycle pig up a hill !!
