I am Anders from Norway, an old, slow enduro rider (65 now). I just brought home my Varg EX from the dealer. Opted to mount it myself, as a way of getting to know my new bike.
I must say that following instructions on Youtube isn't my preferred way of doing things (books are), especially since I live in an area with less than optimal phone coverage, and my workshop is too far from my house to have wifi. Things takes time, but am really looking forward to getting the bike finished with studded tires, ready for racing the Varg in our Norwegian enduro races. The first winter race is in 4 weeks time.
When I got to mounting the footpegs, I ran into trouble. Entering the pin should be easy enough, it seems. But no way! The bushings had a small dimple inside, making it hard to push through, and seemingly impossible to get far enough in to reach the threads. I filed away the dimple, but it was still difficult to reach the threads while overcoming the spring pressure.
I ended up with going back to the house to turn a small extender in the lathe. Put that into the pin's end to guide the peg pin into opening on the front side of the bracket. Voila! problem solved. I guess Stark should have made the pins a couple of mm longer to make the process easier.
