Ordering next week, do I get a 60hp or 80hp version?

Haven't read all the replies, but a couple of things to consider:
1. The 80HP is a software lock and you can unlock it anytime for the 1k.
2. In motocross most pro level riders can only use 55-60hp. Most ametuers can only handle 50hp. I'm a vet racing against 450s and only use 48HP.
3. The only use case for 80 HP, IMHO, is super moto. Slicks combined with asphalt will probably be able to actually use the 80 HP.

Unless you are a Pro rider and depending on the track, you will be slower at 80HP than 60HP and you will likely be slower at 60HP then 50HP.

Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
yes, smooth is fast. Yesterday I was lapping faster at 30HP 40 regen, than I was at 40HP 30 regen.

I consider myself an amateur by modern standards, I've been riding irregularly for the past few years after having started a family. The stark appeals to me being a low maintenance option.

It's $1000aud difference between the 60hp and 80hp versions. I'm about 90kg in gear (198lbs) 90% of my riding is slowish single trails, a little bit of sand, occasional hills with rocks strewn everywhere. I'm sure I would be happy with 60hp but am tempted to get the 80hp just to "see what it's like"

It's a month later which did you pick 60 or 80?

If I was to buy again I would not have bought the 80. I haven't been able to use that much power yet. Not only due to skill but simply putting the power to the ground through the wheel.
