Phone sync issue

Greetings! New to this forum and a new EX owner. Assembled it, charged it, and rode around the neighborhood a bit.
I copied my existing phone data to the provided phone and I set the parameters on the modes.
It shows the modes are active but no matter what mode I put it in, it appears to be using the default settings. So, for whatever reason, I'm unable to completely sync the device to the moto. Blue tooth looks to be on and working.
Any help is appreciated.

Standard IT response: have you turned it off and on again? Ha ha

Turn the phone all the way off and try again.

I’m only a few days into the Stark experiment, but I believe after changing settings you have to tap the floppy disc in the low right corner to save them.

I took the phone off the mount when I went to the gym. Clicked it back in, and boom, all my settings came to life! I was getting so frustrated, but now I love it. Took it out for a local ride on some renegade trails and wow, so good.
Thanks for the responses.

Im only a few days into this as well but feel like I'm behind the curve here on the phone portion. Would someone mind explaining what exactly I need to do as far as connecting my phone to my bike to finish the process? I have been using modes 1-5 at whatever they were programmed at from the factory. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Thanks. It appears mine automatically synced when I originally set it up because it’s up and running. Between life and wrestling young kids I haven’t been able to dig into this as much as I need to. Appreciate all the help.

Another phone (somewhat) related question for the group. Is everyone running the rubber protector around the phone? Seeing some videos of guys not running it and curious what the consensus is.

You should wrestle people your own size. :0) all kidding aside, I feel your pain. My kids wrestle and do every other sport.

Glad the bike is up and running. Enjoy.

I think people are not running the bumper because it hasn't been delivered yet. Mine wasn't delivered with the ex and I'm waiting for it to show separately any day now.

Took mine off as taking the phone out of the cradle with it in place is a bit of a faff, especially with gloves on. The rubber gets in the way of being able to press the release button easily when removing, the height of it makes actually pulling the phone out awkward also.

Mine too did not come with the rubber surround when delivered from dealer.
Dealer said they ordered one but no definitive delivery timing given.

My bike and phone were working great. Now the Varg app won’t open. I’ve reset the phone but no luck. Anyone else seeing this? It happened after it made me do a mandatory update.

If the Varg app isn’t starting or is crashing lately, it’s due to the new update (version 2.3.2).
For some reason, the system doesn’t download it properly.

Solution: Long-press the Varg app icon, go to App info, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, and select Uninstall updates.
Then launch the Varg app again, allow the update, and once it’s downloaded, everything should work fine.

My EX delivery came Thurs and the app auto-downloaded the update and kept crashing. I wasn't aware of that option to uninstall updates, thanks. It must have got another update though because when I turned it on yesterday afternoon it started working.

Pretty terrible that they shipped a bad update like that and didn't at least send out an email. Would have saved me a lot of time trying to troubleshoot it. Was an incredibly frustrating out of the box experience.

They were having severe issues with their app last week. Make sure your app is updated (see system, check for updates) and make sure your bike is running the latest firmware 1.2.4, see system, my bike,
