spare throttle assembly

Hello there,

Alta owner here, and first time posting.

I am sitting on four extra throttles, and some other Alta parts. $100 for each throttle, from Alta with connector. PM for more info.

Im going to post this since Hirschmann and vendors will not really deal with direct customers. If throttles are needed, there is a quantity available (already connectorized) which are for sale. Please PM me for details so that I can coordinate with the Vendor.

Trying to better understand the replacement throttle situation for a 17MX.

- Does the 17 MX take a different throttle, than the MXR, EXR, SM?

- Is so does anyone have the P/N or Inventory for a 17MX?

- What is the difference between;
A) 2102308-03 THROTTLE, HALL EFFECT, HIRSCHMANN, 65 DEG, CONNECTORIZED
and
B) 2103959-00 THROTTLE, HALL EFFECT, HIRSCHMANN, 65 DEG, CONNECTORIZED, SHORTENED

and
B) 2103959-00 THROTTLE, HALL EFFECT, HIRSCHMANN, 65 DEG, CONNECTORIZED, SHORTENED

In an easy answer. Yes, its a bit confusing because some hardware changes and mechanical changes occurred in production (YAY)

There are three flavors of Alta throttle.

2100664-04 THROTTLE ASSEMBLY, OVERMOLDED - These are for early VIN Altas (MX specfically, VIN99 is the rough cut point) - Liquidator has them

2103959-00 THROTTLE, HALL EFFECT, HIRSCHMANN, 65 DEG, CONNECTORIZED, SHORTENED - These are for All bikes (MXR, EXR, MX and EX) after VIN99. The shortened piece makes it easier to install grips.

THROTTLE, HALL EFFECT, HIRSCHMANN, 65 DEG, CONNECTORIZED 2102308-03 - These are meant for SM, they have a slightly longer throttle tube, but can be modified to fit the Alta variants that do not use the -04)
