Stark varg support is the worst

I agree if you like slow trail riding for short periods of time the stark is the go for sure.(joke)
a bit like saying a 450 is unreliable its a thousand times more reliable than a stark.
My 450s have never missed a beat in years.
I am still over the fan boys saying there better ,
they are not full stop.
Read the first line again and try not to cry this time lol.
With thousands of race wins world wide in the last year a 450 still rules \
or maybe try winning this race

I no longer own YZ450s they were my goto from 2013-2019. Also owned multiple yz250fs from the earliest 2001. Also owned a few RMs and CRFs over that period as well. But I don't ride on tracks much any longer. Still own a WR450f and a KTM 300 2T. I have a pretty good handle on the strengths and weaknesses of a modern 4T and I am a fan as well. But the modern 4T is built for motocross tracks even in its reconfigs like FX or WR they have limitations.

Most of the manufacturers were so unconcerned about off moto riding they didn't even ship fans on the alternative 4T models like FX. The KTM 350f & 450fs modified (like X-country) versions were unridable for years and would overheat terribly. People hated those machines you'd spend over 10,000 US and damn thing couldn't even idle in the driveway to tune it. The Honda CRF450x is 275lbs so it is has been a fat pig for generations now. They are the premier motorcycle manufacturer and that is what they deliver?

Outside of moto the 450 is not really customer friendly. People complain about Stark and much is justified but then will accept shit from the major manufacturers. The RMF450 is pretty much the same bike is was in 2016. I always loved the Zuke as a rider but come on man no improvements in years if Roczen wins SX this year that goddam bike will still have a kickstart. And it is heavy as shit.

On a moto track I am all in on 450fs and agree with you but I don't ride moto anymore. 3 hours in hard gnarl is doable with the Stark. Most of us can't ride like Taddy it is the right weapon for a job the big guys pretty much don't give a shit about.

Again really n why are we comparing the stark with a 30 year old japanese bike.
Apart from the stark being that heavy it feels like one.
I never had one problem with any of them..
Some manufactures deliver bikes that are way over weight have party balloons on the wheels and a interface from before the 364 was invented
besides all the other faults read the forums here .the battery lasts for 25 minutes
i like the banter though..
Scroll up to that vid it is only 2 hrs each way (hard knarl)

That's an awesome vid but I don't consider that hard gnarl. That is WOT high speed XC ass kick desert gnarl. Ya for that a Stark is the wrong tool.

I love your selection of bikes. If I had room for more bikes these are the 2 others I would have. I used to ride trails back in Aus and had to turn off my WR450 at traffic lights I hit heading out or coming home, otherwise it would overheat fast.
I finally got tired of the overheating and added a trail tech aftermarket fan. Added a little more weight but was worth it.

Agreed.

Also @seedubb how much metal? Generally there is almost always some particulate on the magnet with oil changes with both Vargs I have owned. Also, there are spots where water and potentially other contaminants can enter that oil enclosure. And water (milky white) and graying near the plug have both been previously reported. Also can you detect any change when you spool your bike up on the stand with the vibration? Say abnormal shuttering or highly increased vibration on the stand at the mph points you indicated? Maybe your python script does that?

Not sure if this is possible in your case but one thing I might try is a clean oil change and then spool the bike on the stand for a while (at least a ride's worth) and then re-examine the oil. I like @Erwin P 's idea of maybe separating the issues (oil and vibration) at least to debug not saying they aren't related but maybe you could solve one at a time.

If it is a rolling issue this will be hard for online help to troubleshoot and sending youtube vids probably won't cut it. They are better at logging into the bike and debugging. Rolling issues seem way outside of online capabilities. Did you buy your bike from a dealer? If so, can you bring it back? A decent tech might be able to troubleshoot a rolling issue if that is one of the problems. HTH and sorry to year of your experience.
One thing alot of people don’t do which is why I bout a tire stand is place the tube valve stem and red or yellow dot together that’s the heaviest part of the tires the balance mark for the valve stem to line up. That is the balance for these dirt bike wheels but it’s never don’t even by shops professional shops. Do this it makes a world of difference with the balancing on the tire and wheel along with alleviating the vibration especially on the stand. Do y’all’s self a favor and look up what the dot on the tire means yellow or red about quarter inch circle is for! If your dot is ff from the valve stem either shop did not install it properly or the tire has spun the rim! Either way off balance I’m telling this because I had these issues weather it be for race cars or dirt bikes vibration is mostly caused by tires in most cases not mounted how they should be!
