Western Maryland off-road October 2020

My newest Alta friend @enjoythesilenc had graciously extended an invite this past weekend to a private riding area in Western Maryland. Not wanting to pass up a new riding opportunity my wife and I packed up the camper, our bikes and headed south. We had perfect conditions at this incredible 500 acre property and were able to do multiple rides led by our new friend (who is an excellent off road rider BTW!) on just shy of 12 miles of challenging single track. The property owner and host had also organized a 33 mile dual sport ride through some scenic country roads. I have to confess I did not do the dual sport on my Alta (not plated for one thing), but enjoythesilenc managed to do the ride and come back with a surprising 15-20% left! I think I may have had him worried as I told him I honestly didn't know if it would make it, but he proved me wrong!

It was great to meet some of the fine AOF members in the real world! Had a blast riding with Mrs Snydes and Snydes. Conditions were perfect and everybody seemed to have fun.

After riding on Saturday we enjoyed a BBQ provided by our generous host. Our pitmaster was up at 4 am to start the cooker. He showed up with his dualsport bike, a firewood trailer, the Roxor he took to KOH and his cooker.

I wanted to do one more lap this morning and I enticed him with an offer to ride my Alta. He jumped at it and now I think we need to find him one, he was blown away!

I was kicking myself for not getting more pictures...so much to do! That Roxor (Mahindra Jeep) was awesome! Got a thrill ride after dark in it and loved it! Great time!
