What are the odds that another(even better) EXR-like bike will be made?

When I read the specs on the Kalk, it looks really close to the Sur-Ron, but at $10,000 more. Hard to justify something that is priced like our Altas, but delivers the performance of a $4,000 machine.

And for a cheap toy, the Sur-Ron is a surprisingly well made machine. And neither one of them are street legal out of the box.

I wonder which e-bikes (electric mountain bicycles) if any, might come close to this range simply by being lighter? (not for motocross obviously but perhaps for casual trail riding?)

Good question. My RAD e bike goes for days with my riding it 2-3x a week. I charge the battery 1x every 2 weeks. This is using pedal assist and full E power occasionally. I've been surprised at its range and it's no lightweight for a mtn bike.

Its not a problem of range, my Stealth P7 has way more range than my EXR. I have gotten 59 miles out of it riding MTB trails combined with flat road riding. But the P7 doesn't have enough power to ride any of the terrain I ride on my EXR. Its top speed is 26MPH and takes a bit to get there. My P7 bursts 1,100 watts vs the 39,000 watts of peak power my EXR produces. My Stealth Bomber has way more power than my P7, but it wont touch the Alta either. Here are some pics of all my different Ebikes I have owned over the years. The bottom 4 pics are ebikes that I have either converted from regular MT bikes, or have built from FUTR frame kits.

The Redshift would also last 50-80 miles if you add the pedal assist, limit the power to 10hp, and dismount and push it up every steep uphill that e-bikes cannot climb.
YEP! Exactly what I was trying to imply.

Just purchased an EXR but not risen it yet. Got into electric propulsion and got addicted. Been building ebikes since 2012, here are some bikes I have had. You can see one bike after the battery fire, pretty scary stuff.

Because of the ebikes had to get into a Tesla, not cheap but man a great car.

Can’t wait to try out the EXR

If anyone is interested am selling the white Quilbix Raptor - 4000 watt for $3,250

Welcome to the club, you have some pretty cool toys there. You will love the EXR, it's a very capable machine, either technical enduro and trail or urban alley racer, it has a wide range of capabilities.

Be sure to share some pictures of your rides.

Sure will - electric opens up a whole range of possibilities - something you have to try to fully appreciate

Am hoping that someone picks up Alta so they can continue development as they were really making advances.

I know that Phaser from ES, it caught fire. Damn that was a nice build. Welcome to the club, you will be very happy with your EXR. Its a completely different level than the ebikes we have been riding talking about on ES.
