Stark replied to my paperwork request
The CoN was available to download from the website (through the order)
The CoC is “in the post”
The new challenge from Stark is I now need to pay the VAT then claim this back from Stark.
Apparently, although I have already paid Stark for the VAT in Dec, they have not paid the taxman.
I am now checking they have correctly imported the bike, as I need the paperwork from the import to get a tax bill.

Oh, the bike is great…..the Stark Customer Service is not.

Was the VAT paid separately (IE 20% more than sticker) or included within the original price? 14k ish

Also, welcome to my world with their CS...

I received an email from stark to sign a document about the vat refund. I sent it back, I’m supposed to be refunded around 2.500$ and pay VAT on my own at my tax office

The sticker price included VAT, transport was added on,
I paid Stark £11,549 (£10900 bike and £149 Shipping)
I received a paid invoice from Stark of £9207.50 just before the bike arrived (this is the price minus VAT).
I am waiting for Stark Finance to get back to me to get a refund, and find out how I can pay the VAT myself.
I expect Stark had a limit with HMRC (UK tax office) and have hit this limit.
I just hope the bike was correctly imported, I should then get a bill from the shipping company.
I hope I have not received the bike without the duties and tax being checked/paid, as it is a pain for an individual to do this.

I'm convinced now that bulk USA deliveries are on hold until the trade deal is negotiated. Stark isn't going to unload at our ports until they understand what their new cost structure is going to look like. Only a handful of Youtubers received theirs. I wouldn't be surprised if they try and re price ours once that deal happens.

24XX vin EX delivered today to Norway. Ordered launch date, paid in full 10th of Jan.
Stark sent it 16th of April. Got to me today 5th of May.
I've been asking for weeks for the docs so I can register it. I'll update with how long that takes later.

No they can't wait for that, large shipment has probably arrived given the number of bikes at US dealers on Cycletrader and Motohunt.

Funny, looks like mine which also has its place on the same 24mx mat - only difference my mat already has a hole worn through from those garage burnouts :ricky:

I was teased with a phone call and message on my voice mail last Weds, have tried calling back multiple times, never picks up. They haven't tried calling me since. No update to the website. I'm starting to wonder if the bike actually exists. Maybe they just have a concept of a bike.

Looked like the vin was 684 on one of em.
Really hoping for a phone call this week hahah
The EX VINs are not chronological it seems, so don't read to much into it.

My VIN is in the 1580s, original delivery was 12th Feb. Im one of the first customers worldwide (I believe one of the first 40 to be released).

After following Varg MX VINs for while, I think production VINs are chronological and sequential although that's not necessarily the case for deliveries (and shipments to US). VINs are not delivered in chronological order of their production, some ranges would have been kept for dealers, some for US customers, some for Europe...

Keep in mind with EX they offer 3 colors, 60 or 80 hp, handbrake or footbrake, 3 choices of suspensions and 7 tire options. Not counting options like disk protectors or titanium parts that's already 252 combinations! Compare with other OEMs offering a grand choice of... 2 versions.

I’m in the US vin in the low 500s ordered and paid in full late December. Shipping company called me a few weeks ago to see if I needed a lift gate on the truck and to confirm my address. I also received my Delaware 90 temp tag.
Stark moved my delivery from Feb to April to may and now mid June. After waiting 3 weeks for a response from them they notified me the bike is in their US warehouse and the shipping company is holding things up. Seems like they are prioritizing bulk shipments to locations with a loading dock and possibly waiting to line up smaller orders to save delivery costs.
Annoying bc I could have saved time and money going through the local dealer that now has them in stock.

Also on top of the shipping delay, I ordered the bike fully loaded and was told basically all the ti parts and the rotor guards are delayed and will come laterthen the bike. It’s Fine that I get some backup hardware but still not optimal by any means

That's the thing, unfortunately their system is still not working and as a consequence it's a much safer bet to wait a bit and order from a dealer who has inventory than pay upfront 6 months in advance.

What leads me to believe that VINs are somewhat arbitrary, is it doesn't seem that the bikes VIN has anything to do with when it was built.
There is absolutely no way Stark were able to store over 1500 bikes before they got to mine, their factory simply isn't big enough... I should know, I go past it every time I go shopping! I also had it confirmed that at the time they had no off site storage.
The VIN is more likely tied to when you ordered.

My impression is that they again overpromised, and handicapped themselves with too many variants. Henry Ford still knows better after 100 years.
It's possible that the reason for delays is a bit embarrassing for them, otherwise they'd be blaming suppliers and "global situation" like you normally do.

They've knowingly shipped uncomplete orders to the most sensitive and complaining customers, and that may prove expensive.
Titanium 3D printing and hardware is clearly not on-line.

Factory looks to be of decent size, but large stock is the exact opposite of operations for such company.
