I have watched most of his vids, and now that he has his display on the video, you can see he is not optimizing his distance and range. IMO he could gear it taller so it doesn't scream, use a paddle tire, and turn of Regen. It's a race, so I don't think settings under 60 HP have any benefit. He obviously has more experience than me with this, but I think he's doing it wrong. He's a great rider who also needs a horn, but the few crashes with other riders he was being impatient and would have happened with a gas bike.

He actually says so, he's not riding to optimize range, he just rides as he likes.

In the Mason Dixon vid we can see another Varg rider and Shane does say that he can see that this guy is a very good rider that is riding to optimize range. This guy ended up 1st in Open E, 2 min ahead of Shane. Unfortunately I can't say for sure if he did or did not have charging breaks.

Shane cannot compete for 2h at his speed without charging a bit, and my guess is that the difference in total time, with or without charging, wouldn't probably be that big.

So technically it's doable but it would be a far more popular option for regular folks if it had easily swappable batteries and the ability to charge a battery as a standalone. Maybe next gen?

Pro Hexis Supercross (warm up before the start of France SX tour) was the first race for Zaragoza returning from injury, ended up 3rd overall with 1/2/10 in MX1, meanwhile in MX2 Hicks won a race and DNF, not sure what he got in 3rd race and OA.
Also good warm up before Arenacross world tour final round in Abu Dhabi next week against Deano, Soubeyras and others.

In my opinion Stark didn't manage the SuperEnduro project very well.
They needed someone who knows what makes the FIM wheels turn. ($$$)
Taddy may have seemed a good choice for the brand ambassador, but he burned every bridge he crossed in his career, so no surprise at the finale.

I also have a feeling that if access to racing (and financing) isn't soon opened, Stark may pivot entirely to being a "lifestyle" brand.

Great interview with Robbie Wageman about his very last minute deal to race in Canada. He'll come back, hopefully more prepared, for the last round of the series. Had about 3 practice laps, DNS race 1 then 19th in race 2.
30 min plus 2 laps on a very muddy track, he set power at 55 hp and took it easy towards the end to finish with 9% battery.

With racing happening all over the world, it's only a matter of time before electrics are allowed to compete at the highest level in the US as well.

I couldn't understand how the Varg could be safe and legal to race FIM Superenduro but not AMA Endurocross, well, turns out Endurocross organizers are all for it, it's only the AMA preventing this to happen for... reasons.

OEMs are scared and money makes the world go round, whenever Honda or any other OEM release their own electric dirtbike, the last gates will open.

Eddie Karlsson is on a roll!

After winning Romaniacs Silver class, he went on to race RedBull TKO (US Hard Enduro championship last round).

On Sunday, Eddie was 5th in race 1, then won his group in race 2 and ended up 7th in the main event, climbing his way up from 15th after a 1st lap crash.

Yeah, unfortunately that’s the current AMA stance, no electrics allowed in AMA competition classes. It doesn’t make much sense, especially with the open-age classes where engine size doesn’t matter. Your friend’s case highlights how restrictive it is, since an e-bike could actually give riders with limitations a chance to compete.

SX tour 2025 round 1 (St Georges de Montaigu)

In SX2, Hicks and Humphrey qualified 1st and 11th.
In the heats Hicks lead the first 3 laps then DNF and had to go through LCQ, Humphrey held 2nd for half the race then slided down to 5th.
In the main, both riders had great starts (2nd and 3rd), held 2nd and 5th at mid race before sliding down the order again to finish 6th for Hicks and 8th for Humphrey.
Not bad for "SX tour rookies", they've shown plenty of potential, more to come.

In SX1, Zaragoza and Irsuti qualified 6th and 10th, then got 3rd and 5th in the heats.
In the main Zaragoza was 4th after the 1st lap, climbed up to 2nd then slid from 2nd to 5th 3 laps from the end of the race, he finished right behind Bourdon. Podium was Desprey, Escoffier, Soubeyras. Irsuti DNS, not sure why.

Umm So chasing the BIG money riders to ride there bikes whilst they will not pay dealers to repair many broken starks under warranty leaving customers without a working bike, add the fiasco of getting people to pay for there EX's in full then making them wait until after they had given out freebies to influancers/celebtrities and many other broken promises, I think Stark need to have a good look at there Morals and standards and how it looks to customers and potential customers.
Makes daft statements like "The main reason we race at the highest level is to allow our customers to race at the lowest level" be seen for the BS they are.
