Half a year ago I asked them what size they recommended. They didn't told me and recommended me to find a builder. No word about warranty.
They also mentioned in a few interviews a loss of warranty only applies to the part you messed with.
So if any this is just a front fork/swingarm issue.

In case of a warranty claim i would make the bike as stock as possible though

I think they hadn't done enough research and testing to know which tire sizes to recommend. Now that they've released the SM model, their recommendation will probably be 140/70.
As we've already discussed, the 150/60 size hasn't caused any problems according to other users, and some say they've had issues with 160/60, while others say they haven't. I think I'm going to go with 150. Regarding the warranty, I'm not sure.
Even though they haven't mentioned it, it's possible that changing the frame geometry could void it. If it's true that it only affects the changed part, then I don't care. As you say, it only affects the fork/swingarm.

I've already sent them a message, we'll see what they say next week...

That's due to manufacturer. Each company will measure tyres a certain way, rim mounted to, shoulder etc.

For example, many years ago I had r888s on one of my cars. 205/50/15. Had scrubbing when I didn't previously. Did some measuring and it turned out Toyos idea of 205 was actually 220...

thats true, seems that from the information of other users the Contiattack SM2 150/60 should fit perfectly with no rubbing and no problems, thats my selection :ricky:

Contiattack SM2 160 attacks my chain. I had to do 160 though due to my 5.00 rim. Would i had the choice i would have go smaller rim and 140 tyre.

In your case i might even wait for the OEM 17' rims.

They are not in stock yet but at least we can see the 549€ price wich i think is very good. The problem right now is that someone said that the front wheel is not compatible with the EX, probably due to a different adjustment in the fork but i exactly dont know. I think the hubs are the same.

I understand you had problems with a 5.00 rim and 160 but a 150 with the 4.25 OEM wheels shouldnt be a problem at all. Even if they are 4.5 should be good. But first we need to know if they're compatible; I've already asked Stark.

They do sell hubs separately for the other models. In a few weeks, maximum februari we'll see the price and parts numbers. If 1 op 1 you know it will fit.

Have to say the tyres are very well priced. Just a few euro above the big cheap discounters.

yes, its funny that yesterday they only had the Hubs on the "wheels" section of the SM, and now there is no hubs but the complete wheels... Hubs are on the EX and other models
They must be the same for all bikes, but i dont understand why the front wheel supposedly won't be compatible with the EX... A forum user commented that Stark had said it wasn't compatible in a YouTube comment. If the hub is the same, then the axle has to be the same too, and that should fit the fork. Then you mount the 320mm brake adapter and you're done... where is the trick?

The new and more minimalistic Docking foam is "in stock" right now for just 18€, is compatible with the EX too

With different spacers (seen in video) the axle doesn't need to fit per definition.

the spacers are separate from the hub, why i will need different spacers for the same hub on the same fork?

If you're 100% sure the hub is the same then it's a fit.

I'm not 100% sure because we can't see the hub part number in the SM section; they've disappeared. They were there yesterday and I didn't realize to look at the part number, they were removed when the wheels were put on. It's possible they're different from the EX hubs, which do appear in the EX section.

Anyway, i asked Stark so i should get a response by Monday/Tuesday, i will update

I'd assume that the hub is the same, but the SM will have different (smaller ID) bearings to accommodate the different axle. You could retro fit EX bearings... but for the cost, you'd be better off just going with a third party like Haan.

Yes. If you check out the SM build vid you can see the axle steps up a couple of times and has threaded end. The EX only has one step for the fork.

The disc is clearly designed specifically for the SM, with a different offset to provide more clearance for the caliper I suppose.
It's different from the one that already existed for KTM, BETA and Stark.

On a EX/MX I would go for this one (DF606SM) or the Breaking WK115L, as the classic "KTM 320 mm" brackets will not allow the caliper to fit the disc.
