The ACM is reporting CAN. There is a 9V battery which keeps the ACM powered on for CAN TX/RX.

A blown dessicant pack...yay. Were you able to clean out the dessicant from the butyl? And did you apply fresh butyl?

To remove individual cells would require an engineering solution that would not be cost effective.
