Most newer oils these days can vary so much between 2.5w and 5w, when comparing the true CST flow spec, which is what really matters..
I attached a cool chart for reference that I DL'd a while ago..
I prefer the Silkolene PRO RSF 2.5w.. Silkolene Pro RSF (2.5wt Liter) – SilkoleneStore
Compared to most 2.5w suspension fluids is thinner when cold and thicker when hot, so you get more consistent feel...
Thanks guys I'll be sure to make multiple when I can get rocking and rolling!
Moving my business into my new shop soon and it's been taking all my time.
Long shot but by chance does anyone have pictures of the main piston and base valve that comes in the 2017 MX shock, showing the ports and everything?
I poked around but couldn't find anything.
Thanks!
:)
Test part fits! I'm going to machine a few of these up from 7075 Aluminum if anyone wants one. Might take me a few weeks as my machines are backlogged but I'll get it done...
The 14mm x 1.5 long linkage bolt threads directly into my part, which replaces the nut.

Lithium batteries don't like to be under freezing, especially regarding charging, but as long as the batteries are above freezing once you start moving, they should warm up more with use and all should be just fine...

I have a brace 3d printing to test fit so I can make some simple machined aluminum bolt on braces for this area, should be sweet!
Bolts to the 14mm linkage bolt for it's main strength. I'll snap a picture of the 3d printed part once it's done, if it fits..
If the moto stays on a moto track, I guess it would be rare to break it except for a fluke crash, but if off-road with sticks/logs/rocks/etc it's damn vulnerable....
Interesting!!!
I have an idea to beef this area up... I feel like I don't want to snap this off, and I'm often riding through crappy terrain.
Does anyone have the actual Alta CAD files for reverse engineer from?
Morning all!
So I was putting new footpegs on, and when poking around looking at how the rear brake master mounting is designed, that seems a SUPER weak area. I bet even a decent stick wedged between the pedal and side case could snap it...
Am I nuts? Has anyone broke this area? Looks like...
Hello all!
I've learned so much from this forum thought I would offer this to return the favor a little, IF there is interest in this...
I moved my screen to behind the number plate so I could get a normal crossbar pad on, the flashing light kinda bugged me sometimes when riding, and the...
