Pretty sure the Freeride will massively disappoint. Not at all designed for what you want to do, that’s Alta/Varg territory.

Inventory is exhausted so your only possibility is someone with a spare that is willing to part with it, and since it’s the one everyone wants chances are it will be for a premium price.

Don’t miss it on moto. I do occasionally find myself wanting one in technical off-road.

This bike was initially introduced years ago to the European market. Not sure though if it ever made it to production. We had lots of discussion on the clutch. Can’t imagine how you could get around not having one on a trials bike but I’m sure at some point they will figure it out.

I love riding my Alta in sand and for that matter any loose and deep terrain, but it’s murder on the range unfortunately. So much fun though.

I've gotten over 30 miles multiple times, but that's a very leisurely pace on mostly smooth trails. Sand will chew it up fast. On the dunes I burnt through a charge in 15 minutes.

McMaster-Carr did have exact replacements for the Alta charger GFCI’s, I’d look there.

As Scooter and others stated above, firmware needs to be updated so your bike is compatible with your charger (that charger was the newer version).

Range figures seem highly optimistic. Only slightly more capacity than the Alta pack. Unless they are pushing the limits of the cells harder than Alta (which would obviously impact pack life), than I would write those numbers off as PR fluff. Having said all that I’m still stoked to see a new...

Since those codes cover a fairly broad range of battery problems, it would depend on what is actually wrong inside the pack. Since this is an A pack it’s likely not a wirebond issue, which is one of the more manageable IMO. A screenshot would help us make a guess at what’s going on.
