Looking at pictures of KTMs it would appear this is an Alta only piece. The KTMs have some bracing in the area of the large gap which is what we need here on our Altas.

Having that long unsupported area in the middle is asking for trouble. This is what the aftermarket and guys like @MotoMinded are here for.
