After riding an electric mx bike, not keen on going back to ICE only. Maybe what we need is a DIY style bike, similar to what Factory Five does with cars. Provide the minimum necessary and owner uses a donor bike to complete. Minimum? Frame/cradle, motor, controller (with throttle tube assy)...

It would be nice to know, Serial number (last few digits) from where good batteries were sent? If I look for another bike, I don't want the recurring issue.

2018 MXR#0373 Still charges. Rode for bit at mx track with code but was cut short due to rain. Last time out it seemed fine but I was just field burning and not at the track so couldn't judge battery drain rate.

I've tried contacting Alta directly, dealer can't get a hold of anyone either. My code 36 most likely means new battery but can't get a hold of anyone for warranty. Even with this, I'm considering another MXR....just to have a second....but sitting on the fence about it. Ugh..... waiting to...

Just got this code 36 today. Ugh....5hr round trip to nearest dealer.

After a Moto on my MXR, around 50%, mine reads 2800va when charging. It then tapers off as charge progresses. When I see the va drop to 1600-800 I know its >3/4 charged. Initial plugging in, it starts low then builds to the 2800....but is rather quick to get to full rate. Does your generator...
