I found the problem within the shrink wrapped 5 watt 44 ohm resistor. A cold solder joint was preventing the resistor/diode pack inside the wrapping from going to ground. The shrink needs to be removed and the circuit inside inspected and tested.

Thanks Rashid but am only after the rear stuff. Already have the rear fender and tail light extension/plate piece, just need the rest of the parts back there.

I know that thread is old but I had the same problem. Found the 5 watt resistor in the supplied harness that that came with the fender eliminator enclosed in the shrink did not go to ground, soldered it up and it works perfect.

What is the watt and ohm value of the resistor on the tail light line?

It does have the stock SM wheels and front 4 piston radial brake, red seat support and has a charger integrated into a black case at the front of the seat. It is a pretty much a stock SM other than a few minor aftermarket add ons.

I bought the San Diego 2018 EXR which turned out to be a SM. Son is in the Army and getting married. Rode it for the first time today after replacing the tires and safety/maintenance check.

Its the plastic/composit iso-triangular coolant fill tube cover that fits in the recess . It has to be removed to get at the fill plug. See photo

I need a replacement coolant filler cover for a SM model. Its the one that Alta. Where can I buy one?
