I used 13. Only first 0-10mph is noticeable for me. Like @TCMB371 said faster tracks the 13 was nice. With no clutch you just have to trust the Alta will have enough speed by the time you needed it. A few times I wished I still had the 12 for jump out of corners, otherwise I liked the 13.

Skid plate for us was more of a must for putting the bike on a stand. The frame rails are wider than most mx bikes. And the less mud on the battery was a huge plus.

When I put the light wiring harness on my mxr, I never plugged in the kickstand. So try unplugging it to see if that solves your problem of the kickstand down issue. if you want the kickstand warning. Then why not just drill a hole in the sxs plastic skid plate? also my wife’s exr has the sxs...

Does that pointy part curl in at all? I wouldnt want the boot edge catching on it when turning. As a taller guy my boots with knee braces on can catch the edge of the shroud. Some bikes the leading edge is rolled in some to prevent that from happening. great job over all!
