nevermind. I demolished the delta wing I have....so ordering another one from Liquid Perf. Will take the dremel to this one to save the fairing screws. Likely to run it naked for a while. I never realized I could hate a small piece of brass so much. 😱

i have been trying to picture the angle you are mentioning, but can’t seem to be confident enough in understanding to actually take the drill to that part of the bike. Can you describe it in a bit more detail or maybe take a pic of where you drilled. Also, once the rod is in place then are...

i finally got it out. Pinched the outer silver washer w needle nose pliers and got the hex key in beside it. Got both out that way. Now to the next step in the install steps!

In other posts I have admitted I am a Neophyte mechanic. But usually I can unscrew things. But not having much luck with the top fairing screws. On either side on a 2018 MXR. Just keeps spinning when trying to loosen it. Spins and spins. Both sides. I loosened the charge port shroud...

based on everyone else in this thread figuring this out....I bet the issue is with me...but I can not get the bolts out of the back of the factory display. They just keep turning (with a “click” that sounds like I should not do it. Do I need to do something special to get the display out of...

The manual also says to replace the O-ring when you replace the drain plug. I didn't see those on offer from Liquid performance. Anyone get the specs on the o-ring that is needed?

I just read the manual on doing a gear oil change...and it doesn't mention any specific amount (unlike the Husky/KTM manuals which are quite specific)....but does have a pic with a syringe of gear oil. I am super glad I read 80 cc/ml is the amount vs loading up a funnel/syringe with the normal...

ok. Great to know that having the km/miles toggle confirms the latest firmware. (I just went and checked that both MXRs can do this..so they both are on the latest firmware).....but I still want to get MultiTool setup/working. :geek:

When you say "updated" do you mean firmware? I am still working to get MultiTool installed working (see my reply in that thread on the python/linux package dependencies)...but once I get that working then will make sure both bikes are on the latest firmware.
