[probably not anyone in this forum] damn lazy tv-watching Americans - TV land ... go ride - to work at least - plug in at work for free, cleaner power. You will have fun riding and minimize gas/oil and wars around that.

I do want to comment that datadog is right on the proper and safe method to stop charging. when given the option: turn off the run switch ... but the system is robust enough to handle power interruptions and whatever thd the harbor freight 4000 generator puts out.

works fine - had it on for 10min charging mxr

the charging probably has some temp throttling and variables for the battery type. ie its ok to let it flow, just not when its hot, or cold

summary: cords/power to chargers or bikes can be safely pulled anytime disclosure: only been riding them since july, but put ~2.5k miles riding daily - 50/50 road and trails - the r-chargers and the whole battery system has been very robust I put the r-chargers thru some torture with a harbor...

I have an extra non-r charger in a case. I have not used it, came w/ a mxr I got few weeks ago, but will test it today. $400 + ship ok?

cannot compare - alta is infinity times more fun. would never chase wildlife. the drone is a flying camera, but they are annoying as hell. if anyone else was in the canyon would not have used it.

Ya its probably 3 or so repos/sets of code: firmware configuration/builder/uploader, server, firmware client/laptop. Please someone help with opening these up so we can maintain these amazing bikes. I will buy them from ya.

I got ur point about the 110lb pit-bike/Chinese bike, was just pointing out its a toy in comparison to an Alta. Alta has more than 20cells - what’s the 18650 count? 504 ... 126s4p?

Ya that Sur-Ron is a Chinese e-pit bike. fine for putzing around, but would not trust doing anything big or technical. I converted a decent all-mountain knolly chilcotin with mid-engine bbshd, fun, and can still get thru some technical stuff, but no replacement for a proper dirt bike with...
