    The Alta Factory LHRB

I suppose it would be. Ive since built an XR100/CR85 conversion with aftermarket head, stroker crank, and uses a KLX140 piston. One of our series is called thumper class, the only rules are aircooled and under 160cc. Its all adults, and the funnest events of the year.

    The Alta Factory LHRB

I also had a JuniorX, and it was a great play bike, but not a race bike. When we built it I thought it was gonna be the ultimate secret weapon for woods racing. Small chassis, light weight, estart, easy to throw around for 2 hours. I failed to factor in the distance from sitting to standing of...

    The Alta Factory LHRB

He tells me prior to 2001 CRs had dual pistons in the rear. I dont recall that being the case, but I would never question his Honda knowledge. He also believes a typical Nissin front caliper is the same mounting pin locations, so if thats true, most any japanese caliper would fit. No guarantees...

    The Alta Factory LHRB

AJ at Service Honda is a close friend of mine and we were talking about 2 pot rear calipers. He said he has over 200 caliper carriers for 2 pots sitting around for CR250s with shark fins built in he had machined up. There will certainly be some work adapting it to the Alta, but hopefully it will...

Ty Tremaine and Lyndon Poskitt to race in the Erzberg Rodeo

Surprised at running a soft terrain tire there, even the small rocks are the size of basketballs.

Re-springing a 2017 Alta Redshift MX (and then revalving too)

Kreft and N2Dirt are both topshelf tuners, but that revavle control Kreft offers is very intriguing.

If my assumption is correct, they probably dont know theres a market for a replacement part.

    How Far Have You Gone?

Milage unknown, but 1 hour 22 minutes in a hare scramble in 40A class. But if I go to my local riding park with a small mx track and 75 acres of trails, with lots of climbs, I can get about 4 hours from it if I charge in between rides, and limit my track time. That 4 hours is overall time at the...

    Chain Slider failures

Im betting Alta didnt even design the slider, and just sourced the entire thing out to either Acerbis or WP. And getting an outside vendor to support this is likely where the problem lies. I also assume Acerbis did the design/manufacture of the water holding subframe.

    Chain Slider failures

I sent an email to TM Designworks today asking if they have Alta parts on the drawing board. No reply yet, but if enough people ask, it may nudge them.
