I normally only ride the road like this to discharge my battery after charging if I am not going out for a regular off road ride type ride.

I ridden mine at WOT long enough to use 50% of my battery with no issues. Map 2 as always.

Good to know, I figured due to thinner air/oxygen, 5000 ft would cost the generator at least 20% of its potential output, but based on what you have experienced, that doesn't' seem to be the case.

Thats good to know, I don't have to worry about switching from Map 2 to 4 when going down steep terrain to get the advantage of regen.

I hear what you are saying. The only improvement to the bike is appearance, nothing related to performance enhancement. I found it funny this guy has the money to do this, but doesn't have the money for a chain breaker, and used a grinder and punch to cut the chain. Talk about working harder...

I see whats going on, yep worn in well. Even the side where your boot is rubbing. You will be a great test bed for the HotFootMoto slider for sure.

I imagine at elevations under 3000 feet a 2kw generator would be adequate, just barely though.

I haven't paid attention as I do 99% of my riding in Map2 on the 2019 EXR, but does the regen braking shunt harder the higher the map mode is?

Yep, I try to use the throttle cutting/regen as ABS and I am successful for the most part. On gasseers, its gas....brake.....skid/side....gas.....brake.....skid/slide and repeat.

I have never went to "empty". Some of guys on other threads have reported going another 7 miles after the battery indicator showed completely dead. Maybe you got that ability as well.

Your numbers are pretty close with what I get. I know mixing fast sandwashes with pavement road riding I can go pretty quick in map2 for about 23 miles before my battery meter starts flashing. Slower single track trail riding I am good for 38-40 miles.

I ran this set up on my fire breathing 2008 KTM250SXF with Bill Thompson's HT Racing bigbore/stroker 350 kit putting out 51whp. Highly recommend it.
