Has anyone tested any of these VESC based controllers? h ttps://flipsky.net/products/flipsky-fsesc-75450-84v-high-current-350a-esc-base-on-vesc-with-aluminum-case-water-cooling-enclosure-for-e-foil-fighting-robot-surfboard-agv-robot

Here is a photo showing the motor mounts pinched between the three tubes. There is no movement once the swing arm is tightened. Hope this helps.

When I first started installing the motor mounts I was super concerned with the Lithium-King motor mounts sliding around on the 17mm ID x 20mm OD tube. I wanted more support. I ended up fabricating three tubes that would slip over the 20mm OD and sandwich the the motor mount plates. I had to...

I agree wholeheartedly. The Lithium-King universal stainless steel mounts seam fairly solid. Custom fitted and welded mounts will undoubtedly provide greater strength. And, they will look trick. Everyone's input is so appreciated. I am certain there will be several improvements to make after...

Nice schematic. So, you are running the on/off switch in parallel on the B+ power cable. You are recommending a 400A fuse on B+ upstream from the switch. Questions: 1. Just a simple break in the connection, with little to no load, is enough to cause concern? 2. The EM260 control has a 300A...

Hi Guys, My E&C motor and controller kit arrived today. Thanks to everyone's tips I've been able to make some major progress. Now I have to wait patiently for the battery. Here is a video showing the status of my CRFE build:

I just now emailed Allen at Amorge and asked to change from 45A to 45B cells. Thanks guys.

    2023 Honda CRF250R with QS138 70H V3 Motor and EM260S Controller

Hello guys, I found a few extra millimeters for more storage. I've changed the size of the battery to give me 20s13p for 72v 58.5Ah. I'm totally stoked! Here is the final battery box size:

    2023 Honda CRF250R with QS138 70H V3 Motor and EM260S Controller

After following the advice from several members of the group, I'm making great progress with my 2011 Honda CRF 250R conversion. I'm waiting for my E&C kit. During the wait, I 3D printed a mock-up motor. This allowed me to fit check the Lithium King motor mount and to design an irregular shaped...

Thank you for the great post! Please keep us updated once you receive the pricing and final configuration for the battery. We are all fighting this same battle trying to get the most battery in the available space. -- Best, Dave

My motor and controller are on order. I'm desperate to get started with the build. Thus, I'm 3d printing a mock-up motor.

Here is a mockup of version 2 battery with the cells positioned vertically. This layout allow 280 cells for 20s 14p. The 2010 true 2013 CRF 250R frame is just too tight.

The battery is definitely the greatest challenge in the process. Attached is what I have come up with as the easiest configuration for a drop in/quick change 20s 12p 72v 50Ah battery. This drops right in my 2011 CRF frame. No grinding and no cutting required.

The VESC based controllers are very easy to program. I've personally programed several VESC Controllers/Brushless DC motors. I hope Votol moves to a VESC control in the future.

    2023 Honda CRF250R with QS138 70H V3 Motor and EM260S Controller

I'm getting closer to the final specifications for the Amorge battery. Keeping simplicity in mind, I'm leaning towards Molicel P42A, 20s12p, BMS mounted outside the 6.25" x 7.25" x 13" steel case. Acheiving this small size casr reqires the individual cell holder be eliminated in favor of gluing...

    2023 Honda CRF250R with QS138 70H V3 Motor and EM260S Controller

Hi Don, I just order the battery switch and the resistor. E&C have a 2 to 4 week lead-time for the QS 138 kits. I'm trying to gather up all the peripheral components during the wait Thanks again, Dave

Hello Don, I couldn't help but notice how you've fabricated a custom cover over the top of the battery. Was this to create room to clear the battery? Have you relocated the stock front seat attachment point? And, can you share your source of supply for the power switch? Thanks for everything...
