I agree that most chances are that the problem is BCU related. Just asking to be sure - no chance that the battery is completely drained? Here is how the BCU looks like on the older models. As Steve wrote, an Electrician friend helped me take it off.

I suppose that BCUs failures (and they do fail from time to time) are usually caused by the same electronic component fail. If we could find that component, we'll be able to fix most failed BCUs, and not replace them, as spare parts are getting sparse.

Amen to that. I can testify to that as someone who is going the exact same route with a malfunctioned bike at the moment. I get all the support & help I need from this group. I am sure my bike will be fixed. This is coming from someone who is on the other side of the planet (Israel).

Thanks for the update. I also think that repairing these BCUs should be a primary goal. I suspect it's not that easy. enjoy your new (?) bike!

I suggest those with iphones, get a dirt cheap 2nd hand Android device, that will be used for such off road events. That's what we do.

That's interesting. I admit that by just looking at the cables, I doubt I'll be able to pull it through.

Having an extension cable for the main battery connectors (orange HV & black LV), would have made my life so much easier. Installing and uninstalling batteries for diagnostics and repair is a nightmare. Someone knows the type/name of the connectors, in order to produce some ext. cables?

Finished another evening of trying to figure out what caused the bike to shut down. Started with the ACM & its connections. All turned out within spec, including the supplied 9.15V to the battery pack. So, bike side is fine. Providing voltage to the contactors make them work well, and we even...

Found Mark's explanation for it - Pins C & 2 provide 9.15v, so we know the ACM provide the adequate voltage to turn on the BCU. So now we are certain that the problem is within the pack itself, and not on the bike's side.

We can't find the 9v in the ACM to BCU connector. Trying with a voltmeter with no luck. Which pins deliver the 9v in the following connector?

Actually it is dead. At the moment I can't connect, charge or do anything else. Thanks to the guys here I am pretty sure we'll get it up and going. Meeting with a friend today for another resuscitation attempt.
