    General Varg Beater

What's the solution? I think it is pretty simple. We need a dirt bike with multiple hot-swappable liquid-cooled battery modules. Install a 2 kWh module to win a 5-minute supercross LCQ. Or install 12 kWh of modules to ride in the woods all day long. Or install 6 kWh of modules and stop in the...

    General Varg Beater

A light bulb went off as I was at Glen Helen riding @DonCox"s DIY converted Yamaha and then loading it into my motovan. His bike is lighter than a 250cc 2-stroke! It has a smaller battery and a lower top power than my Alta, but it is also much lighter! It is a very fun bike and it fits Don and...

    General Varg Beater

The Stark Varg is not out yet, but I think I have come up with an idea for a better bike. Who is it going to be who will make a Varg beater? Read on... You know what the major limitation of an ICE bike is (besides the noise and the maintenance requirements)? It's its hardware. The weight and...

Varg to compete @ British MX championships

Remember how the 4-strokes were first arbitrarily limited to 426cc? Then they were granted 24cc more. Then the 4-strokes became too dominant. Then the 2-strokes were virtually banned. That's the way the electrics are going to displace the 4-strokes.

    More Honda Mugen pictures

... and this is why electric cars have no radiator grilles. The Honda that is being paraded around is not much different from all the DIY projects that we have on this site. Stock frame, stock plastic, stock radiators because they didn't have the budget to design custom tank and shrouds.

Varg to compete @ British MX championships

No other e-bike maker except for Stark can really take advantage of this opportunity in the UK racing rules. No pro will go race an e-bike without factory support, and definitely no privateer. So... Stark has to do it! Either this year or next, but they must! Either a factory team this year or...

Varg to compete @ British MX championships

Bwa-ha-ha-ha! Stark will de-tune their bikes to 48 and 60hp, cranking up the torque to numbers that are unseen by the industry. Electronic traction, launch, and wheelie control, and no ICE bike will stand a chance against them. I am afraid that they might become too successful in Europe and...

Charge Your eBike Silently - Amazing Battery Tech Is Coming from China

The battery bank in my motovan came in super handy when I attended AJ Catanzaro's riding schools. The two times that I attended his school were two very long days of MX track riding with random short breaks. Waiting for a bike to charge was not a good option, so I was bringing two fully charged...

Charge Your eBike Silently - Amazing Battery Tech Is Coming from China

OOPS! Yes, these are the correct prices. I was thinking it was $1,512 for the 10 kWh version, which would have been cheaper than 16x Shenzhen Basen LiFePO4 batteries alone, which is what appears to be in this 10 kWh powerwall, and which is also what I have in my van. Yes, it is just a battery...

Charge Your eBike Silently - Amazing Battery Tech Is Coming from China

I saw something amazing on Alibaba today. If I had to do my motovan electrification all over again, I probably would have just bought this 10 kWh powerwall, a 48V inverter, a solar charger and a couple of solar panels for trickle charging, and call it done. Charge your Alta two times at the...

2001 RM with QS138 70H V3 motor and Votol EM200 Controller at an Enduro

That motor fits this RM very well! And the tiny battery is so cute! If I could swap those on my Alta quickly, I would bring 4 of them for a practice day and 3-4 for a race day, depending on the track! That yellow tank is big enough for some Gatorade and an ice pack. Wouldn't it be cool to sip...

Real first picture of the Stark grey

I am a purist too. Alta revealed their Redshift MX and EX in suzuki-ish yellow. But I told them that's bullshit, Suzukis are not cool or even high-tech anymore. Make it white-red like Yamahas used to be! And they listened! Or maybe they just read my mind. :)

€50 million investment in Stark Future by Royal Enfield parent company

Even moving "south of the border", scooters and mopeds is what most people use to get around town. Most have electric start and CVT belt drives. Lots and lots of them on the streets. Local men, women, children, and elderly, all on scooters, many riding 2-up or 3-up, some even 4-up. Sandals is...

€50 million investment in Stark Future by Royal Enfield parent company

The guys at KTM and at the Big 4 Japanese manufacturers must be scratching their heads much harder than we are, LOL!

€50 million investment in Stark Future by Royal Enfield parent company

Perhaps Stark wanted a few Indian industrial engineers at their brand-new factory. Someone who could then travel to India and replicate that factory there.

    Stark 'demo'

I can't quite recall... Has Stark always planned on having a large dealer network? Or have the dealers been announced much later? I suspect the need for dealers has sprung up as a result of all the pre-orders that they received. They needed to expand and sign up enough dealers. I am not upset...

    Stark 'demo'

You'd save at least $1,100 by keeping your order and deposit. You will get the suspension sprung and valved for your weight and riding style. And someone else will get early production units with their bugs, which will hopefully be fixed quickly. it's a win/win/win.

Stark Varg at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week!

Wow, this is sweet! Did you sit on it? Is the seat hard and narrow as a broomstick?

    YZ250F 2014 Build With QS 138 70H V3 Motor and 450A controller Part #1 and Part #2

Don doesn't act and doesn't ride like a 77-year-old. I think he might have a slight dementia problem though because he forgot his age. :ROFLMAO:
