Do you have a skid plate? Lots of mud can pack under the motor. @TCMB371 claims that mud tends to pack around the front sprocket too. But he didn't have a skid plate at that time, I think, so maybe that was a contributing factor.

I have been running a Fasst Company Flexx handlebar on my stiffer suspended MXR with 170psi fork air pressure. It felt like the other bike that had only 160 psi, which brought it just under my pain/fatigue threshold. The guys at Fasst Company made this handlebar pad with a dash cutout for me...
