Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

I like the idea to have more batteries to reduce heat, not only because of the possibility to turn off that Discharge BMS current control. There is a concept used when calculating the cooling rate of cast parts, like cast iron: the modulus, or volume to heat exchanging surface ratio. If you have...

    Stark actually profitable... kinda

This statement at 8:19 is pretty interesting: I don't know how much Stark is profitable; maybe he doesn't consider Stark because non road legal dirtbikes could be considered as not being vehicles and because surely they are not part of his competition. Anyhow, apparently this is another...

    Energica bankruptcy

Italian electric brand Energica confirm bankruptcy Here is an interview of their CTO about the situation, to be translated from Italian: Energica, non tutto è perduto They used to be the MotoE supplier and then they were replaced by Ducati (BTW that V21L looks amazing). I'm sorry for them...

    NACS or CCS Varg charging

    A. Wass talked about fast charging back in this interview released in February; in short, he said that it's possible to safely recharge the Varg more than twice as fast as with the current charger used at 240 V but that they thought that most of the people would use their existing power outlet...

Owner's Review Stark Varg - First Customer Review!

Surely I don't have the same expertise but I think I can answer: 665 lb-ft is the peak torque at the wheel, which doesn't spin at 14,200 rpm: the motor shaft does. Besides, tipycally motors can't reach the peak torque at maximum rpm.

    2025 KTM Freeride E

One way in which you can look at power used to accelerate a mass, using high school physics (that's basically what I can do), is to consider it as the difference between the final and initial kinetic energy. You will notice that, for example, the average acceleration from 0 to a velocity v is a...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

You are right; compared to English language, here we use commas instead of periods and vice versa, when writing numbers. Sometimes I forget about this differece (I should pay more attention or in different scenarios it could cause some serious misunderstanding when discussing something...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

I don't want to be pedantic, but, after having tried to apply that formula unsuccessfully for years with dyno charts and wondering what was wrong in frustration, I once found out that it's an incomplete formula. Actually: Power (W) = 2π • Torque (Nm) • rpm (dimensionless) / 60 seconds...

    General Poll, response appreciated

I actually meant something different: some skilled guys sometimes wheelie through whoops sections, like this: and my question was: what if I wanted to do the same thing without having the skills: do you think that it could be done using a kind of wheelie control which prevents the rider from...

    General Poll, response appreciated

I suck at wheeling intentionally and I can't wheelie through skim whoops like the fast riders can do. Do you think you could create a kind of control that, when someone opens the throttle enough, will keep a wheelie or at least help keeping it in a situation like that? What happens if you set...

    General Poll, response appreciated

Actualy something that has not been mentioned yet dabout the Varg is the warranty. All Vargs are still under warranty and I personally wouldn't void it replacing the inverter with an aftermarket one. I still wish you good luck with your project, of course, even if most likely I won't participate.

Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

I've just noticed that the swingarm axle doesn't pass through the case of that QS138 70h V3 motor, unlike what happens with ICE engines or with the power unit of the Varg, for example. Wouldn't it be better to build the mounts with steel? Or would it be too expensive to cut it or machine it?

    General Poll, response appreciated

I personally think that keeping the power under control using the throttle is part of the fun of riding and it's a skill I want to keep trained, so honestly I think I wouldn't like it. Never tried it on a motorcycle, though. Since my only electric bike is a Varg and I probably live too far, I...

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

Rounding the figures and forgetting the 999 €/$, here in Italy: • the Alpha used to cost 14 K € • the 60 HP used to cost 13 K €, which is what I paid including VAT Now on Stark's site I read that there is only the Alpha option, for 12K € including taxes.

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

What you have said makes sense. Honestly, despite the fact that I don't side with anyone and I only support people when they are right, I am a Stark's fan who tends to support them and when I think about it I am happy to be their fan because they are trying to do something very important to me...

    Varg suspension

What oil have you used in the fork with the original valving guys? According to the Specification sheet from Stark's site, 355 cc of the KhL 15-11 oil should be used in each leg and that must be the oil outside the cartridge; I guess that something more than 200 cc of the same oil should be used...
