    Charging with Generator

I don't know how much a generator weighs but I strongly believe that the day of the trackday physical efforts, especially before the riding is over, should be avoided, so I like the idea. There is a document named Stark VARG - Specification sheet in the Stark's support section of their site...

Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

Very cool and interesting project. If I were you, in order to decide in which position to install the battery, I would install it provisionally in different positions and then I would check the weight distribution of the bike in those positions, choosing if possible the best one. I like the...

Alta throttle - all there is to know

I'd like to share an experience of mine with Hall sensors. Some years ago I borrowed an idea from a video in which F1 drivers trained to think sharply even with high heart rate and physical demand, typical of racing: I made up this workout in which I keep my heart rate in zone two with a...

    Regen setting on MX track

I also have to mention that maybe regen is affected by the power setting: usually I ride at 41% regen and 60 HP (I tried different random values and 41% felt the best and I left it there) but some time ago, after a firmware update, I had all my maps set to 40 HP and 70% regen braking without...

    Half sized race battery?

I wish it was possible to have modular batteries like it is possible to have modular power stations. We could have a 9 kwh battery split into three modules having 3 kwh capacity each: when you do motocross, you use one 3 kwh module while another one is under charge in the parking lot, ready to...

    Regen setting on MX track

I am a slow rider, so I don't want to teach lessons to anyone, but I just want to point out that I've heard instructors saying that you are supposed to land while applying gas. Honestly I am still focusing a lot on things that I think have the priority, like squeezing the bike between the knees...

    General metal-free battery cell

Here is another one, apparently more oriented for energy storage paired with renewable energy production:

Anyone making stronger motor covers yet? Cracked my stock one

Have you noticed this cover that they have used for the factory Stark? It's visible, for example, @0:23 and @0:32

Varg turns on in Neutral, cannot select mode

If I try to apply a little bit of throttle and to engage the bike from neutral, just for testing purposes, a warning will appear on the phone, telling me to close it and then try again.

    Regen setting on MX track

If I set regen to 0% I will occasionally find myself with the front end of the bike too high. I have never tried to brake tap, though (I always forget to give it a try) and the main reason for which I usually have about 50% regen is mainly that it's the right amount to keep the pitch of the...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

Years ago, when I wished there was an electric motocross bike which wasn't an Alta (I didn't want to buy a Redshift despite liking it because the manufacturer didn't exist anymore and it was hard to find it in my country) I considered the Freeride. This guy posted some videos in which he...

    Inverter Overheating?

I hope and I expect that we will be able to ship the powertrain to them, get it fixed and get it shipped back to us for a price much lower than the price of a new one.

    Varg production numbers / VIN

I've compared the price to other prices found for Italian sales; I guess that the comparison will be similar worldwide. The price is now closer to the ones of gas bikes. A 2025 450 Husky is more expensive, a GasGas is about the same price and, considering the price of a 250 Triumph, I expect...

    Inverter Overheating?

You can also look for coolant leaks. Some people reported leaks from the radiator, for example.

Anyone making stronger motor covers yet? Cracked my stock one

Here is another one: CMT Compositi | Right carbon crankcase protection for Stark Varg Stark Varg 2023 - 2024 They say it weighs 30 grams. I'm not an expert on the subject but I personally wouldn't buy a carbon part for protection aginst impacts.

    Motor/inverter venting? Is there any?

Maybe thermal expansion of air is managed using some kind of rubber bladder like the ones in the gaskets of brake fluid reservoir caps. Maybe the inverters are sealed in a dry room and there is a bladder somewhere inside, even though I don't recall having seen anything like that in pics of...

Questions: Track & Trail set-up. Charging & Transport.

Officially, the battery is not swappable: that's what A. Wass said in an interview. However, technically it can be done; the procedure to change a battery is shown in the specific video in the Stark's YouTube channel and, like mentioned in this post, someone does swap batteries. I see some...

    Varg footpegs and boots.

My already worn Sidi Crossfire 2 SRS with supermoto soles are in way better conditions after 30 hours of motocross with the Varg and the soles can be replaced anyways. BTW i'm a slow rider and surely not an instructor but those boots look worn too much in the center; maybe if you start riding...

    Stark Varg charging/starting issue

Well, this is how winners behave when they face problems! Those Vargs may not be as relaible as they should be yet and sometimes we may feel like we were a little bit part of their research and development, but I believe in what they do, I want them to succeed and I think they will. Go Stark!
