Service your linkage and swingarm bearings asap

Some days ago I removed the rocker arm and I did find a reverse thread nut. This nut has two threads: the inner one is a regular thread which mates to the shaft and the outer is a reversed thread which mates to the swingarm. At 25.5 hours, I found the bearings of the rocker arm having what I...

    New VARG Software Update.

When I installed that update, at the beginning I noticed that the bike felt like in eco mode, too, so I checked the maps settings and I found out that, as I suspected, they were changed: every map was set to 40 HP and 70% regenerative braking. Have you checked that?

@blbills: have you taken those pictures before or after having regreased the bearings? They don't look packed with grease but neither they look so dry.

    Charging with Active Cooling System

According to the FAQ pdf document from Stark's site, it's recommended when charging between motos to lower the temperature. I remember a member of this forum who rode at very high level, being a former professional, complaining about thermal limits due to overheating; surely he was an example of...

General Looking for a bike for my wife

I tried a Talaria Sting TL4000 L1e on rental in a minicross track: the suspensions were way too stiff for my weight, so for someone lighter they should be even worse. The motor, on the other hand, felt decently powerful and it didn't consume the battery much in Sport mode, so for somone lighter...

do you store the bike in standby mode or completely off?

I'm afraid nobody has experience with such a long period of unattended storage; I don't either, so the following are just assumptions and considerations. Probably asking Stark would be the best choice. It seems to me that in standby mode it goes from 50% to 30% in a couple of weeks linearly, I...

Service your linkage and swingarm bearings asap

I agree; they also advertised the bike to be suitable for those people like me who are tired of playing the mechanic in order to be riders, so I feel disappointed to find out about this (although so far I still consider it way less time consuming than a gas bike, let's remember that). I guess...

Service your linkage and swingarm bearings asap

So, have you removed the sprocket to remove the swingarm? DId you use an impact wrench? I have a handlebar operated rear brake and, when checking the torque of the front sprocket bolt, I can't reach 80 Nm, I reach less than 70, because I can't hold the countershaft still even if I hold the rear...

    Gen1 vs Gen2 Powertrain

If you search "Stark Varg" on the internet you will probably find only pictures of the Gen1; here are some pictures of Gen2: New charging point. Varg - Gear Oil Change

RE: Stark - My conversation with Mike Burkeen, AMA Deputy Director of Racing

Another thing to consider is that the Stark is not as popular as I wish it was: at least here in northern Italy, where I also see a lot of riders from Germany, France, etc. at the track, after 25½ hours of riding I have never seen another Varg which was not a demo bike. I don't know what happens...

    Varg - Gear Oil Change

What size of hex is that? We only have the 13 mm and the 17 mm sizes included in the toolbox provided with the bike, so if it's not one of them (maybe the 13) we'll need to get a ¼" socket, too to use that torque wrench.

Are you talking about the reversed thread lock nut they show here? Have you used the bike in wet conditions like heavy rain or crossing some creeks?

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Surely the rider is instrumental in winning a motocross race; someone says that in F1 and other motorsports it's the vehicle that matters the most and maybe that's true, but that principle doesn't hold good with MX. IMO discussing this topic of electric bikes to be allowed vs gas bikes is...

    Motor

That's a gen 1 power unit, then. As far as I've read here, typically they would send you a new power unit to replace yours in these rare (but IMO worrysome) lockup cases. I've noticed that they have recently added a countershaft replacement kit to their spare parts list in their website, so...

Polo sport halo led headlight, Husqvarna TE 450.

Hello. I do have an Italian Husky: 2008 SM610, but I only use it on tracks (I know it's not a racing 450) and I removed the headlights more than ten years ago. Over the years I've used a forum called CafeHusky which has been a very pleasant and friendly virtual environment in which I've helped...

    Motor

Hi. Sorry for the issue; I hope you are not injured. I live in Italy and here in august companies tipically close for 2 or 3 weeks for vacations; as far as I know it happens in other European countries, too; maybe Stark in Spain is closed or many of their employees are on vacation, so I am not...

Paralysed Doug Henry wins a World Vet motocross race using a modified Varg

And here is an onboard, too: @ roughly 6:00 in the first video you can see his setup better: the original saddle has been replaced with that special one having a backrest and side braces, if I have seen right. Following AJ Catnzaro's advice that I've heard in his videos, even when I sit I push...

A Suspension Tuners Take on Stark

He mentioned the weight distribution; now in the tutorials and technical section of Stark's site there is a specification sheet file in which they have written, in the suspension section, F48% R52%, which I guess means 48% weight on the front and 52 on rear.
