    Just got a Recall notice

There have not been any new firmware releases since MX_1.5.1 (7/25/18) and EX_1.2.1 (7/25/18) right? If so, then I should still have the latest one. MX/MXR Firmware

Cool. Now I know that too! I guess I knew that with diodes it matters which way to install them, but I had no idea it matters with the light emitting types too. Turns out it does.

    220v/110v Charging Question.

Your standard charger is capable of both 120V and 240V. It comes with a 120V plug. The optional rapid charger is also capable of both 120V and 240V. It comes with a 240V plug. You can surely install a 240V plug on it. Of you can make an adapter. This thread has the instructions for a 240...

    DEFECTIVE 4CS FORK!!!

If you want to try riding a little faster, I would take your bike to a suspension tuner and ask them to install these shims into the fork and shock: Factory developed Redshift MX suspension shim stack specs

Alta Redshift EXR vs Zero FX (Decision Making)

Unlike on the SM, there is no on-board charger on the EXR. So, do not venture too far from the charger, or keep a spare charger where you are going.

    My Moto Van build thread

This is my today's project. Got myself some welder's tan. Welded a battery tray for my four Battleborn 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries, plus a spare room for a fifth battery, if I ever decide to buy one more. Also, welded a tray for the 20ga fresh water tank. This is to pressure wash the bikes and to...

    My Moto Van build thread

The van is a 2014 Ram ProMaster 2500 Window Van with a 159" wheelbase. I like windows all around. They make it easier to back up, park, and change lanes in traffic as if I am in a car. I installed a 5% limo tint on all the rear windows. Works great. Floor: Three 6x4' 3/4" thick rubber mats...

    Warning light

That's the exact model with Bluetooth that I will use with in my van with Lithium batteries. However, I won't be able to use it with the generator. It is rated only up to 70V. I guess, one can always split the two charger's wires apart and use a clamp style multimeter like this: Meterk...

    My Moto Van build thread

I thought I should create a thread to document my van build. Maybe it would help others. Or maybe others will help me. It will definitely create more accountability for me to continue working on it and eventually finish it. I will be posting progress pictures and maybe will make a video some...

Alta Redshift EXR vs Zero FX (Decision Making)

What kind of riding will you be doing? If you want to be riding for the sake or riding, then go with an Alta. I have never owned or considered a Zero, but from what I have read, if you are buying an electric motorcycle for commuting or sightseeing, then a Zero should work better for you.

    Warning light

Does anyone know of an inexpensive Kill-A-Watt or similar power and amp meter rated at 240V and 20A? It would be nice to tell if the charger is pulling the full expected current from the generator, in case your generator does not have a built-in amp meter, which mine doesn't. My van though...

    Warning light

Yes, if the battery is hot, it won't start charging until it cools off a little. I have experienced that. Perhaps there is also an intermediate setting, where it would charge slower, if it is too warm. Can anyone confirm this?
