Interest poll: What kind of charger would get your money on the table?

The charger with EU cables weights 6kg and you only need an adapter like this for type 2 connector (EU AC charger). https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0D59LK9XV/ https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0CRK6J1L8/ First, I'm still thinking about a more portable charger because I want to get a second unit and you can...

Owner's Review Stark EX review from a slightly disabled

Hi all, It's been 6 weeks since I have my EX, yes I know, I'm one of the lucky ones but France is really close to Spain and I'm half Spanish 🙂 To give some context for me, I used to be pro ICE, but in February 2023 I had a very bad crash in MX on a 450 CRF 2021 (mostly because the bike was...

    varg EX Hub

Just to confirm that the yellow connector (6) is the kill switch and the 2 red ones are for the street legal front blinkers used also in the US.

CAN connection between bike and charger

This picture looks familiar 😅 I forgot to repost after I deleted my post on the other thread. NACS or CCS, it's the same struggle, it would need an adapter but still a microcontroller like an arduino to "simulate" a communication between the station and the BMS.

    Portable charger

You only need an adapter like this for type 2 connector with an OBC. https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0D59LK9XV/ https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0CRK6J1L8/ For DC-to-DC charging, some reverse engineering is required to "allow communication" between the station and the BMS...

    Portable charger

Hello, To all the EX and street legal MX users out there, are you interested in a more portable charger? From what I've learn in the past few days, to be compatible, the charger needs to be : 1. in CAN1000 protocol (CAN Baud Rate 250KBS) to communicate with the BMS 2. in the voltage range...

Ordering next week, do I get a 60hp or 80hp version?

If you want to stick to dirt, go with the 60hp. I've had my 80hp EX for 1 month and I'm glad I got the 80hp because I do both street and dirt. I'm even going to order a set of supermoto wheels this month :)

CAN connection between bike and charger

I thought about reverse engineering it, but first I'm onto something else, a lighter and more portable charger. I worked on something similar with some contacts in my activity of tuning cars and swapping engines/ECUs with different CANbus protocols.

    varg EX Hub

In the US they have a kill switch that we don't have in Europe, at least not on mine in France. I'd say it's plugged into 1 of the 2 red connectors. https://starkfuture.com/fr-FR/parts-and-accessories/spare-parts/varg-ex/handlebar_controls/control_switch_ex

Sprocket Selection - Ludicrous? Maybe, but it's working for me. Custom foot pegs. Still want a clutch.

Yes I just saw the kill switch on an EX on Youtube and found it on the Stark spare parts store. https://starkfuture.com/fr-FR/parts-and-accessories/spare-parts/varg-ex/handlebar_controls/control_switch_ex FYI, I have an EX in France and we don't get this kill switch in EU from what I've seen...

    NACS or CCS Varg charging

Oh yes, I missed that detail, which is the most important one, yes type 2 is AC. So it would still be possible with CCS and CHAdeMO, which are still quite easy to find here, but I have a feeling it won't be for tomorrow...

    NACS or CCS Varg charging

With the new EX, the best solution would be to get an adapter that works with traditional EV chargers first. My guess is that a simple arduino could do it with the right adapters, but reverse engineering is something else... It would have been so much better if they had worked on compatibility...

    Stark Varg charger housing kit

Hi Tim, I'll take one black kit and I'm in Europe. I contacted you on facebook but you didn't see my message.
