Testing out the GoPro with the Alta

Yes! I recently watched a vid with someone showing (in great detail) how they used a sock to make a wind...sock, for their GoPro, Lol.

Testing out the GoPro with the Alta

It's a decent little riding area but I'm not sure I would make a special trip to go riding there, its pretty small, limited trail miles, and not as scenic as many of the other riding areas. I went up there to see what it was all about since they re-opened it, and also to test the GoPro. It's...

Testing out the GoPro with the Alta

From what I'm seeing online the Hero 7 Black is especially prone to wind noise. Mine's been fine except the wind noise. It is amazingly sensitive though, picks up every little sound. The image quality and especially image stabilization are excellent. Next time I'm out I'll be picking up a wind...

Testing out the GoPro with the Alta

Took in some trails up at the Reiter ORV area (northeast of Seattle) to test out my new GoPro, definitely need a wind sock. Half day ride, perfect conditions, had a great day. Looking forward to fine tuning my video setup and brushing up on the basic editing. -Ed

    Tempted to sell, kickstand woes

I don't use my KTM leg, Alta bracket, hack kickstand install. I don't trust that the small stopper tab will hold over time. I'm wondering if Trail Tech has something that would bolt up to the peg bracket (seem to recall that YZ pegs are a direct swap for Alta pegs?).

    Want to buy Battery

You could check with Liquid Performance on ebay, they are liquidating the remaining Alta stock. Items for sale by liquid_performance | eBay If they don't list a battery on ebay, contact @ayden_kry at Liquid Performance, he's a member here and has been great to work with, hooked me up recently...

    2017 mx won’t start? - Solved

Don't forget recalcitrant starters, they respond pretty good to hammers too, Lol. Sorry, could not resist. And great news on the diagnostics and general support here!

    Range and Range Comparison

200 lbs, typical trail rider. I've consistently gotten 40 miles on a full charge, mostly map 2 setting, occasional map 3 for short sections. That is riding down to no bars showing, battery almost completely dead on rides with mixed paved and dirt roads, 20 - 45 mph, relatively mellow riding, mix...

    Converted 3 More

Up at the club property yesterday, 3 interested friends took their first ride on an Alta. They are all hardcore dirt bike dudes, fast as hell. They were blown away, Lol. My take when I let people test ride my dirt bike, is I'm wondering if they will think the bike is the real deal, is it for...

Sur-Ron Boom Bee (Storm Bee) electric motorcycle spy photo's soon released

"SUR-RON revealed new STORM BEE dirt-bike lineup on CIMA 2019": SUR-RON STORM BEE MX and Homologated Version Revealed! I wonder if the wheels, suspension and brakes, etc are "standard" moto bits like WP, Brembo, Nissan, etc, or if they are clones, or worse yet completely original/proprietary.

DIY LHRB that retains the foot brake

Thank you for the info on the bleed bolt and a reminder about the brake lever helper spring. I'm going to order both. It looks like this Tusk brand bleed screw is very similar to the one you show above, I'm going to try it out with our DIY LHRB setup...

DIY LHRB that retains the foot brake

Great idea, and good to know you're able to brake slide so easily! And forgive my ignorance, but is the bleed nipple a special order part? Or is it something that I could source at an auto parts store or motorcycle shop? Perhaps I'm worrying about it too much. I think I'll do the install...
