    Owner's Review long term stark

The rear tire surprises me. I have run 10 psi front and back and it's good, it's a band aid for the harsh suspension. With the taller gearing it was crazy how much it hooked up, I also have the axle almost all the way back, even on the hard packed kids and GP tracks it was shocking how it would...

    Owner's Review long term stark

Tried the 15 with the 42 (2.80 ratio) and it's ridiculous. The throttle is a wheelie meter. Wheelspin is greatly reduced. 1/4 of throttle does what 1/2 used to, and it's easier to get the front light. Corner exits have so much power and drive and with the light front end it's better in ruts...

    Owner's Review long term stark

Just installed my 15, it is super duper tight. Testing tomorrow. Glad to hear it worked out for you, did you zero out the Regen?

Banned Stark takes the top 3 spots in the $10k Big Whip contest

This is why they are banned, they are too good. If you can't whip 220 degrees you aren't in the game. For those worried about the weight of the Stark, this is a good argument, the bikes just don't feel heavy in most circumstances, actually they are more maneuverable than gas bikes.

RE: Stark - My conversation with Mike Burkeen, AMA Deputy Director of Racing

3 seconds a lap faster on his test track. IMO not a great video.

    Stark KYB forks standard preload?

I haven't opened mine up yet, sorry. Reading elsewhere that newer KYB's on Beta's are coming with 8mm preload instead of the prior 4mm, and that shops are machining another slot to change that, or going to a shorter spring from Race Tech. Anyone been inside their forks and can confirm this for a...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

I was so pleased with the taller gearing that I got a 15t from Amazon, another $20. I want to find the limits of this massive torque. I will mention that the throttle sensitivity seems to have gone up a bit, things are happening faster when you twist your wrist. Hopefully a test soon, I am in...

Stark Files 004 - The one about AMA

The quickest way to get the AMA Pro to allow electric with gas is showroom competition. 13,000+ bikes sold is hurting other OEM's. Just as with the 2 stroke 500's and 125's, when they quit selling change happens. KTM Inc. has gone bankrupt. Change is in the air. More full size E-bikes will hit...

Owner's Review Varg EX suspension. Did you go Hard or Mid?

I’m assuming that you are fast and you are riding in loose sand? Your burn rate is very high. Stark’s Pro AX team has struggled with weight in the whoops and corners I think? Fast guys find the flaws, slow guys enjoy the ease and rideability.

    Purging front shocks?

It’s easy enough. I have had an idea to connect both forks with an air hose with a reservoir to expand the volume of the air chamber for a more progressive air spring, behind the number plate. I haven’t made a priority of doing r&d .

    Stark range video(s)

Nothing fast about my pace these days, but I do ride track and trails and do most of the jumps that aren’t too scary 😮 C skills. Sometimes I instinctively try to stab the non existent rear brake pedal, and that’s the only time I’ve missed regen braking. 😬

    Jack hammer varg forks

How much ? Did you buy the JBi spring perch? He has certainly done a lot of work on Starks, so should be on target.

Owner's Review Varg EX suspension. Did you go Hard or Mid?

Don't you have a generator? Are you ready to sell the Stark, you seem very negative about it?

    Purging front shocks?

Do you find it productive? Does any volume of air escape? I find unless the bike has been in the sun, if you have the bike on the stand with the wheels off the ground, nothing really happens. I have damaged the speed bleeders before where they stick open, so I'm out on them.

    Stark range video(s)

Are you running out of battery? I'm not wanting to compromise my riding style to recharge a battery I have yet to drain. I think some have proven the Regen to work going downhill, but I want to be in control of the brakes and momentum. Most riders are off throttle way more than on throttle. If...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

It didn't look to me like the 15 would fit? I was finding that at the end of the "3rd gear" speed and range the Stark started to run out of steam, not anymore.

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

I was surprised that lifting the front was easier for me with taller gearing.

    Jack hammer varg forks

There are no shims at the bottom of a KYB fork, only some have a hydraulic bump stop, so the oil is primarily for tuning the hydraulic chamber. I use a dry erase marker on the fork sliders, and if I am not getting full travel then more oil comes out until I get the full 12" I paid for. Air will...

    Jack hammer varg forks

Moving the axle back seems to have had a positive effect on the rear suspension. More leverage, probably increased sag. You don’t have to stand up for roots and rocks anymore.
