Varg EX has different sound to Varg MX. EX howls more and is significantly louder

There’s a drain plug and a level plug. See YouTube for Stark Future maintenance/repair videos.

EX problem with red start button

I haven't heard of that exact problem, but others have had problems with the switch. I would try some WD-40 to see if that loosens it up. If that doesn't work, contact Stark support.

    Portable charger

RV 30 amp plugs are only 120v. You can charge your stark on 120v if you have an adapter. The charger is much faster on 240v.

    Kill switch delete?

Yes, you can do that, it’s only supplied to US bikes, because of a legal requirement.

    Auto up kickstand delete?

Yea, they fixed the issue that required the screw.

    Auto up kickstand delete?

Yes, cut it off at the line, then drill a hole and add a screw like this photo to prevent it from swinging too far forward (not sure if necessary on the EX). https://electricdirtriders.com/threads/stark-side-stand-eliminate-auto-return.3596/#post-46087

Poll: Are you using the original Stark Varg Stand/Charger as intended?

I think it's much heavier that way, but still a big improvement.

Stark side stand - eliminate auto return

Drill bracket and add a bolt to stop the kickstand from swinging too far forward, fixes the length and lean.

new to the electric bike thing

Start by GENTLY ROLLING the throttle open, that's what I do, with my MX on 52hp and 80% regen, I only use a little bit of the throttle, no spinning problems, enduro type riding. I run tubliss in the back with a VE33S tire, with about 3 psi. I've had my 60hp MX for over a year, and I ride it...

new to the electric bike thing

Yes, originally Stark admitted that the kick stand bracket was made wrong and everyone would get a free replacement once it becomes available. I periodically asked support, and a few times they were still waiting, then after the EX release video, support forgot all about it, and would only send...

    Stark actually profitable... kinda

It’s true the Harley following is dying off, and in my opinion, at least partly because they have become so common place. In the early 90s, you had to wait for a new Harley, there were none in the dealerships, they were sold before arriving at the dealer. Now the market is flooded...

    moto verses ex version

If you're buying an MX for MX, (or an EX for enduro) choose the Stark recommended suspension. If you're buying an MX for enduro riding, you can try going lighter, but it will still be harsh without a revalve.

Stark GPS tracking and geofence method

OK, thanks, I didn't know that was another app, but your idea sounds like a great use of the available tech, thanks for sharing. BTW, in case you are not aware of this, @Chadx found a way to keep a gps app on the varg phone screen open while you are riding. See post #18 in this thread...

Stark GPS tracking and geofence method

Sounds like a GREAT idea, I may try to implement this. My other phone is an iphone, I use the chrome browser and gmail app, so would I still receive notifications?

    Battery related issues thread

Well, yes, the manual says that because the manual was written before we had the option to set a limit. Now that you can set a limit, Stark has suggested to leave it plugged in with the limit set at 50% for long term storage. Regardless, it sounds like you need support from Stark. They used to...

    Battery related issues thread

I assume you have contacted Stark support, but in the meantime, I would try this: Start charging (from below 70%) then set the charge limit to 75% to see if it stops at the limit you set.

    Battery related issues thread

I would ride it and run it as low as reasonable without having to push it home. Then put it on the charger overnight, and check it in the morning, and if necessary, perhaps leave it on the charger for a couple days without touching any buttons.
